Minnie Ears - will you be wearing these?

Yes, the chin straps are the elastic bands. I find if you get the "Child" size and not the "infant" size, the band is even loose on me if I wear it on my chin. Or, I wear the strap like you would a headband that goes all the way around your head. Put the whole hat so it's around your neck, then pull the hat up so it's on your head, and the band is under the back of your hair. That sounds confusing, does anyone know what I mean?

I'm 3? years old (way up there!) and I have a pair of the sequined headband ones with the red bow - LOVE them! Wore them the entire day i got them - and yes I have the pics to prove it! Plan to wear them on my next trip too! Just can't decide if I should get my DSis a pair or go all out and get all the girls tiaras!:yay:

I have them too - well, had them. I just went to visit my sister and didn't realize they were still in my suitcase from my Dec trip. My 3 year old niece saw them, put them on, and that was the end of that. How could I possibly make her give them back - she looked too darn cute in them! So poor me, I'll have to get new ones when I'm back there.

I have an older edition of the Minnie Ears, the kind with the comb headband. What I did before this last trip was went out and got polka dotted fabric to match the different outfits I would be wearing (I have Mickey Polos in 5 different colors), and made stuffed bows that could be pinned into the area between the ears. So my ears always matched my outfit! For Animal Kingdom though I used a leafy print to go with the atmosphere!

Those older comb bands do tend to give headaches though!

I've wore the classic ears (like the Mousketeers) wore. DS got his last trip and will be wearing them again this trip. I plan on buying a shiny new pair this upcoming trip. Just not sure which ones I want.

We've seen adults all over the place wearing them as well as other character gear. It's the best place to be a kid and that's why it's one of our favorite vacation spots. No one looks at you like you're crazy at Disney. :cool1:

Any particular place?

I saw them all over the place, but I purchased both at the World of Disney store in Downtown Disney. Mickey was purchased in December of 2002 and Minnie in December of 2007. They still had the Mickey ones when I got Minnie.

They also have these hats at the Christmas store in Downtown Disney. Dh wouldn't let me get the light up Christmas tree hat!

In my curio cabinet, in a place of honor, is the Mickey ears my family bought my Grandma on her first trip to Disney- she passed away last year and I still smile seeing her Mickey ears in my curio. And Grams was in her 60s- so you see, you are never too late for Mickey or Minnie ears! Or the silly hats!

Thanks! I'll be getting me and my DD one; DH probably wouldn't wear one.
:lmao: I can just see my DH's face if I were to get a light up Christmas tree hat.:rotfl:

What a lovely sentiment!:goodvibes

I have the headband Minnie Christmas ones that I wore all over the place this past Christmas season while at WDW, I want to get a pair of everyday Minnie ears, the headband kind, for our June trip.

Where else can you be a kid again. Although, I did encounter a stick in the mud sort of lady on my last visit, I had Miss Penny at Harmony Barber Shop put my hair in a pony tail after she had done my DD, and she glittered me. Some unhappy lady was trying to make fun of me but I had another lady stop and ask me where to have her hair done. That made my day and I had told her about the other lady, the grumpy one, and the nice lady was wondering why some grown ups just couldn't let their hair down and have a good time!

Go enjoy! It's a rare occasion that you get to wear mouse ears and/or glitter in your hair past the age of 15. Live it up!

I wear Minnie ears in the parks. I wear the red and white polka dot hat with the black Minnie ears. I think this is a kids hat, but it fits me. I also wore the Minnie bride ears during our honeymoon and have worn the glitter Mickey head bobbles on the headband. I really don't care what other people think of a woman in her 40's wearing these in the parks, we are there to have fun and enjoy ourselves and I've noticed a lot of other adults get into the spirit this way too.

I  the idea of the glittered hair. I just may do that myself! Do you have any pictures? I'll be 42 on my next trip and I will be wearing some sort of Disney hat/ears when I get there and I don't care about the sticks in the mud.:lmao:

Oh I am so going to the barbershop on our next trip and getting pixiedusted! I don't care if the kids don't want it. I DO!!!!:cutie:
