Minne Marathon Team List

the PPP is lots of fun...I got to go twice in January. My DD and I rode BTM 4 times in a row and never had to wait. I don't have photo up from when my older DD and I went, but I do have photos up from the week before when DH, younger DS and DD and I went. http://picasaweb.google.com/baumann6

Minnie madness has begun for me!

I ordered some shorts from Target. They just came- I probably won't bring them since I won't have time to test them for any chafy seams, but I thought I'd try them on anyway. (Did I mention poor Emma has tonsilitus and an ear infection and is sleeping now- so I'm stuck in the house. As a measure of how bored I am, let's just say my kitchen is spotless. That doesn't happen often...:rolleyes1 )

Anyway, I went to try on the shorts. I ordered them a size bigger thinking that would help with my rapidly expanding GoofyBaby gut. The first pair was ok- maybe too long to run in, but ok for hanging out. The second pair was skin tight! So I'm freaking out over how dramatically my size had changed, when I thought, "these shorts are really, really short..." Hello, forgot I ordered shorts for Emma, my 8 year old!! :scared1:

Now I need to go consider trying on the maternity bathing suit I ordered. Can there be a scary concept?!

Jen -- First of all, I was :lmao: about you putting on Emma's shorts, but I have OBVIOUSLY missed something! Are you growing a new WISH team member? How did I miss that? How exciting!! :lovestruc

Cam- yep, got a Goofy boy on board scheduled for arrival in September. (Ran the Goofy pregnant, but didn't know!) I babble about it sometimes on our Walt's Warriors board, but not much on the main screen. I hate to steal any thunder from soon to be born baby Carter. The way I see it, Steve and Krista are having their first and I remember how exciting everything was... it's not that I'm not excited, but by the third (and last), I'm just hoping to vacuum the car and load up Harry's old car seat before this baby comes!:rolleyes1

By the way, this is my last official race before the baby is born- I may need some assistance stretching out my WISH shirt at the start!

Jen-never use that word "last"-it always comes back to haunt me. I used it after my first and I now have four..."I'm not planning on any more.":rotfl:

Joan - So glad Nana is doing better!!! :yay:

GAJen - :rotfl: It's more fun when you accidentally hang your pants in dh's closet. :rotfl: Then again, teh fact that you could even get your dd's shorts on is impressive.

I love doing halve in b2b months. It means b2b tapers!!!!!

Oh, Jen! THat is so exciting! :lovestruc I am so happy for you, but I hope you will take it very easy this weekend. DUring the first Minnie, Rhonda (akasleepingbeauty) and I saw a woman who was 5 months pregnant and she said she'd done a 1/2 marathon (IIRC) while pregnant with her first, so she felt compelled to do an endurance race during her second pregnancy. She was really booking, too! :cool1: Rhonda and I kept an eye on her but she seemed perfectly fine. I will feel better knowing you are in a WISH shirt and all our teammates will be making sure you don't push it too hard! :grouphug: Can't wait to see your little one's first medal! :woohoo:

Ha,ha...I can relate to that.....First we had a boy....then 2 years later, a girl. We thought our family was complete. Less than 2 years later, another girl.....14 months after that, another boy! I had 4 and my oldest wasn't even 5 and 1/2! Sent my husband to do the "V" thing.....and now our family IS complete!

OMG Jeanneg that's the same birthing order as my family, but it took us seven years then the big "V". I still will not say "never" or "last"

I am so bad....or good depending on how you look at it....

I am now leaving Thursday eve so will be there a day earlier!! Just couldn't help it. Besides this is more considerate for DH who has to drop me at the airport. Now he doesn't have to get up at 4.30am! See how nice of a wife I am. :p

I'm getting scared of all this talk of "last!" I'm an only child, so I can barely wrap my head around 3!

Just took Emma to the doctor. We went to the ER last night because her ear was killing her (of course, on a weekend...) I had to go to her doctor to get the stupid school note, but then he said the ER hadn't prescribed the correct amount of medication (he said she should get twice the dose). So, that's nice. Here's hoping my 5k companion will be in better shape by Saturday!

Cam- not to worry. I'm running the 15k with Becky/Lexxiefern. I'm sure she'll take care of me. My goal is to chat the whole way and get my medal. I'm pretty sure I can't overdo it if I'm talking the whole time! Thanks for looking out for me though.;)

Liz- has your DH realized he should actually be thanking you for adding that extra Disney day?

Jen - hope Emma is feeling better quick!

And I was sure to point out my kindness to DH. :lmao:

Jen in GA - congrats on the baby - definately take it easy this weekend. and I am keeping my fingers crossed for Emma to feel better real soon. I know how much she enjoyed doing other races with you so hopefully she will feel A-Ok for the 5k.

Gosh I can't believe its getting so close!! I am starting to get nervous that I won't get everything I need to do before we leave done. I am going to busy busy the next 4 days/nights. I have to get the suitcases down from the attic tonight. I did my 8 miles yesterday in my "outfit" that I will be doing the race in. Everything felt fine so that is exactly what I am wearing Sunday. My new RaceReady WISH tank and black running shorts. I even have the same exact socks and undies I wore during yesterday's run. And yes everything has been washed since my run yesterday :lmao:

Liz, what time are you landing in MCO? I am landing at about 9pm i think...

I won't get in until 10.30p. Couldn't get the one right before it as have water dept coming in between 1-3p to install new meter.

Jen in GA my DH is also an only child as was his mom and she's gone and that's how we got Nana. So, now we have five kids. We actually have four children, but Nana takes a lot of care too. You will do just fine. Oh and BTW I found children never get sick or broken anything during regular office hours. Hope you little one is better soon.

JeninGA Can't wait to see you again, it's kind of funny meeting someone for the first time in PO lobby at 5 am or was it 4:30??:confused3 I only have two and think anyone who has more than two is a saint so here is my official :worship:

TRANSPORTATION QUESTION I AM SOOOOOO VERY SORRY BUT SOMEONE ASKED ME FOR RIDE FROM CORANADO TO 15K, MOTHER AND DAUGHTER??? SISTER AND SISTER???? PLEASE PM ME!!!! I have had so much going on I can't remember who it is and I wanted to set up time and place to meet.

SO --- I am staying at Corando with Explorer that can tightly fit 7 so if anyone needs ride to 15 or 5 k let me know~~

Tricia - I'm walking the 5K. I would have liked to run but I'm doing it as a first time race for my aunt who recently broke her toe! So, we went from run/walk to all walk!

I've got stuff in the suitcase! :yay:

I've got my running stuff in the carry on and just need to remember to wear the tennis shoes. It is almost time!

Excitement is building!!! I haven't began to pack yet but have washed my 15K gear and plan on putting that in a carry-on (thanks to posters here). I am busy, busy this week so hope I don't forget anything to pack. :scared1:
I'm also very excited to do my first race  , although the early morning hours really scare:scared1: me. :rotfl: If I show up at the corrals looking half asleep and a little grumpy, just tell me to 'get over myself'. I am really NOT a morning person and my big fear is not sleeping at all the night before the race. Then I remind myself that it's one day, I can sleep the next night. Okay, I'm rambling....I think it's nerves. :lmao:
