Shirts:Potentially major changes aer happening. There will be threads to keep you posted hne we have details. I'll have a link in my sig when those are up. I will likely only be handling a portion of teh shirt orders. There's more info on the weekly thread.

Okay, so I went back 10 pages on the weekly thread and couldn't find it. Wow!!! That is a busy place. Do you mind just mentioning what changes are in the works? I really like our shirts and I always receive such positive comments about them? Of course, change can be a good thing and there is always room for improvement.

Ok...so we are covered for the 5K as the whole family is going...but...the 15K...

Did I read somewhere that the Disney is NOT providing transport to the Minnie events??? DH and I are doing the 15K and the family will come to cheer us on, but there is no need for them to have to get there as early as us. How are we supposed to get to the event? We are flying so we have no ground transport...

Did I miss something or is this really the case?

As far as I know, you need to get your own transportation to either AK or Epcot. I heard that there will be buses at Epcot to take you to AK but nothing else. We will probably spring for a cab from OKW to AK that morning and then use regular Disney transportation for the way back. There are so many people staying at OKW maybe we could hire a minibus instead. I think the finish line spectators should be able to use the regular Disney transportation also. Hope this helps.

Stacie - no, there really is no transportation to the start of the races at all. This event isn't as big as the marathon so the need isn't there. Last year I know some people took cabs together, and several of us carpooled. Angie was staying at the same hotel as me and she was gracious enough to drive Jen and I to the race. By the time the race is over the resort buses should be running so you should be okay to make it back.

Thanks for the info!!! We are at Saratoga Springs. My Sister is a DVC Member -- yay! She is doing the 5K too along w/ my mom and Matt and I so we will go together for that. Only Matt and I are doing the 15K and then the rest of fam will there to cheer us on. Maybe we'll just grab a cab to the AK.

This way in advance planning, but does anyone have any suggestions as far as cheering us on... I mean could my family be somewhere around the 1/2 way point and then make the end to see us finish too? Would it just be best for them to come to the finish? I know I'll have all the WISHers screaming, but I'd kinda like to see my Dad along the way and at the finish. I don't want to make it difficult for them logistically though... What to do...

I'm not sure where we're going to stay - I was thinking of POFQ right now but maybe moving to BC or WL if AP rates are released. We might stay for a couple of days after Sunday and thought it would be better if we're closer to Epcot or MK.

My first laugh of the day! Love it! I will definitely to introduce myself to fellow Wishers. Although I normally tend to hang back a bit, the people on these boards make everyone feel very welcome.

Not here! Don't hang back. You just HAVE to come out to play. It truly MAKES the experience so much better as you get to meet everyone.

Ok, so being I'm new (and a worry wort)... with regards to the transporation part fo the thread and sharing rides/etc.... as we get closer to the race, will there be a thread so that everyone can coordinate sharing transporation? I'm at OKW, and although I'm going down with my best friend, she will be sleeping in that morning , so I would LOVE to share a ride over with someone....

Tink06: please do not worry. There are so many of us at OKW I am sure we can work something out. I'm not sure what the biggest size van or mini-bus is, but as the event draws closer I am sure we will make plans. If everyone gets together it can only cost several dollars each since we're only going a few miles down the road. There's still plenty of time.

I just made reservations yesterday for OKW, but am waitlisting a couple of the days. We also waitlisted at AKV in case that would open up.

It sounds like OKW will be WISH team central.

Just checked, and saw our waitlist at OKW came through, so we are confirmed at OKW from 5/1 to 5/5, but still waitlisted at AKV (just in case).

postesf/Stacie, In regards to cheering for the Minnie: Outside MGM or at the YC/BC are both good places.
