Minmizing getting wet on Splash Mountain, where to sit?

definitely the left side is drier than the right. DH always gets soaked. He gets it mostly after the big splash as the log comes around to the river boat, from a water fall there. The logs get backed up as people unload and he sometimes gets drenched twice. He hates getting wet. But he has to ride this if he wants me to do TMRR.

The only way we've found to stay dry is to ride Big Thunder instead!
A joke in our family is the time I said "Hey,Splash is only a 10 minute wait...and it took us 3 hours to dry!

I don't know about left and right, but avoid the front at all costs! We did notice that the heavier the log, the wetter you get. Got soaked riding in front seat with full log. Even with poncho on, we got it in our faces and bottoms.

Ridden in the back every time and never gotten wet. It's been two years though...

I think the back left is the driest but I did end up with a face full of water when I had that seat in December. At least my clothes and shoes were dry!

I don't think there is a science to this.... pack some flip flops and extra shorts..... ride it several times in a row.... (you're wet anyway, right?)... then when you are done, you have an excuse to buy one of the very cool looking Splash Mtn T-shirts in the ride's gift shop... and there's a bathroom right at the ride too so you can change back to dry clothes.

DS6 and I rode Splash Mtn about 6 or so times in a row during evening magic hours... the first couple times with others in the boat, then it was just the two of us. We sat in different ways... and got everything from a little wet to very wet each ride down.
