i know, i know - this has been discussed before, but i'm just looking for more opinions.

I LOVE the Chrysler Town & Country. :worship:

We've also looked at Dodge Caravan, but i've had some negative feedback on that one. :confused3

How about the Chevy Uplander? :scratchin

Anyone have any useful negative or positive info about any of these?? or any other minivans out there.

Thanks

I have the consumer report car buying guide. It recommends staying away from a car during the first year if it's a newly revamped, or brand new line. Here's what gets a thumbs up: Toyota Sienna, Honda Odyssey, Ford Freestar, Crystler Town and Country! Happy shopping!

I have a 1999 Dodge Caravan. It will be 7 years old in January, has over 100,000 miles on it and we have been problem-free, so no complaints here.

Oops! Forgot about the Caravan. It also got high marks with Consumer Reports.

We have the 2005 Grand Caravan. I love it. It is wonderful for my children 2.5yo and 15 mths old. I feel like a princess driving it, too. ;)

Our 2004 Dodge Grand Caravan was a lemon and had to be bought back by the manufacturer. The 2005 we were switched into has been great so far (although we only have 11k miles on it). The 2005 actually went down in price and we got all the bells & whistles...leather, DVD, sunroof, Sirius radio, etc.

We do lemon law at my firm and have far, far, FAR more cases on domestic vehicles, including minivans. We've never had a lemon law case on a Honda or Toyota minivan but they're a lot more expensive.

For me, I was willing to risk buying the domestic vehicle especially since I know exactly what to do if things go bad.

Good luck!

I have a 2004 dodge caravan and have not had any trouble with it at all.

We just got the Chevy Uplanders as company vech. had (lumina / T& C /Caravan and last was the Windstar ).
I'm on the road both hwy.and DT city most of the day .

I love the Uplander very nice ride Ok on gas .

we have an '02 Grand Caravan and have had to replace the entire A/C system. we've heard from several mechanics not to buy ANY Dodge vehicle to use in Florida. the A/C systems are subpar. I'd agree.

I've got a Chrysler Town and Country and will not buy another one! My next car will be a Honda Odyssy. Last year, the transmission went out at 38,000 miles. I was a few months past the warrenty. The guy at the dealership (a big reason I wont be buying another T&C) rudely said, "Did you have it serviced properly?" I said, "Yes,Check your records! It was done here!" Three days after the transmission was fixed, it broke down again. Same problem with the transmission! Never did hear back what happened to the first one. I have since heard a lot of transmission problems with the T&C. Not sure if that has been fixed. We have a 2001.

:sunny: Thanks for the reviews everyone!!! :sunny:

We recently got a Sienna LE. I have to say, I totally love it!! :cloud9: It handles beautifully, rides like a dream, has lots of room and truck space. They showed a crash test on Good Morning America yesterday for side impact with an SUV or a truck. The Sienna got the best rating. :flower:
