Minivan suggestions again

Highly recommend Toyota Sienna. My 2011 was totaled last year and we replaced it with a 2012 bc it kept my entire family safe from serious injury or worse. I have the limited and believe they could put a Lexus badge on it and Lexus could sell it. It's that nice.

I have a VW Routan, and I love it! The back seats are the most comfortable back seats I have sat in in a minivan. It doesn't have stow and go, which is disappointing, but it does have the storage compartments in the floor, you just can't fold the seat down into it. Plus...I don't feel so much like a soccer mom, because it's a VW. ;)
We have a Routan too. The benefit if getting it over the same car in a Chrysler or Dodge version is VW includes 3 years of maintenance.

You might also be able to get it for a price: VW seems to only be semi-committed to it, so you can sometimes get it for way below invoice beacuse there are frequent rumors of it being discontinued. We got an SE model with the rear seat video system, and leather seats, for $26,400 in November 2010.

And the beauty is that if VW discontinues it, its the same car as the Town & Country/Grand Caravan, so parts for repairs won't be an issue.

Another vote here for the Kia Sedona. DxW's has about 65k miles on it, over a period of 6 years, and still runs great.

Very hard to beat the pricing.

love my honda odyssey, We have leather with dvd player. My only complaint is the road noise is loud on highways going 65 mph

I'm not a fan of Chrysler in general (particularly since our local dealership is full of idiots), but there's a reason they've had a lock on the mini-van market as long as they have. They always seem to be one step ahead of everyone else when it comes to handy features for their vans. I know one PP said they get poor fuel consumption with theirs, but that hasn't been my experience with the ones I've rented. They usually do much, much better than the Fords & Toyotas honestly. I have a coworker with a Toyota & though she constantly brags about it (as is the case with most Toyota owners), I've also lost count of the # of very expensive repairs she's made to it. RE: the VW Routon, it's actually a rebadged Dodge with a higher price tag. So, unless you've got a VW dealer you just love, you can do better on price with the Dodge, typically.

We have a 2004 Sienna that I love. It has about 105,000 miles and we haven't had any problems with it at all. We'll eventually replace it with another Sienna.

we have a 2010 Toyota Sienna and we LOOOOVE it. It's comfy and has a lot of nice features. =)

Me too! I have an 09 and love it! Although I didn't love the transmission blowing at 22,000 miles. Thank God it was still under warranty. I do wish it had AWD. Contemplating trading it for a new Explorer, but will be very sad to see it go. I also hated the thought of ever driving a minivan but now that I've had it for 3 yrs it'll be hard to get rid of it!

We bought an 07 Odyssey in January with about 72k miles and I LOVE it! It is an EX-L (loaded but not as much as the Touring). I think the backup camera is the best part of the whole car. At dance and preschool sometimes kids can dart from their parents walking in/out and it was so stressful.Although you still use your mirrors and look around it does provide an extra view for peace of mind.

Our first minivan was a 1998 Ford windstar. After 200,000 miles and 3 WDW trips, it finally died a peaceful death. Our most recent (and best) minivan was a 2005 Chevy Uplander. Bigger then the windstar, more interior room, and better mileage. The finest minivan we ever owned, it met its untimely demise when a deer hit it at 160,000 miles. Killed the van, but everyone in it walked away without a scratch. Recently, we rented a T&C for our last trip, and was very disappointed. Hope you have better luck in your search.

Well the Town and Country has finally died. It will cost over $3800 to fix and quite frankly with 150000 miles I don't think it's worth the fix. But now the problem. What to buy? Money is an issue so value is good. We are a family of 6 so I thinking minivan again. I was hoping to last another year with this car but no such luck.

So what minivan do you have and do you like it?

This was us in 2009 with our Grand Caravan and family of 6. After owning a Toyota Camry that had over 250,000 miles on it, we bought a Sienna with 20,000 miles on it. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. Have 65,000 miles on it now.

Will never buy Dodge again.

Bought a van that had been a rental car and on the dealer's lot for 2 months the day after Christmas. I think we got a good deal.

We have a 2002 Sienna. It has been wonderful! We are at about 125,000 miles. Other than routine oil changes and a few sets of tires, we have had only two repairs in the almost 10 years we have had it(brakes/rotors and timing belt).
We will probably buy another Sienna when we finish with this one.
