MiniVan Price - Can you Beat This?

I just found a code in a travel brochure I got in the mail. It is for Dollar rental. I put in my travel dates in September and the code (VFGET) gave me a minivan for $209.99 for the first week (base rate) and $39.99 each additional day.

I put in the same dates for a full size car and the first 7 days was $179.99 for a Dodge Intrepid and $34.99 for each additional day.

That code is VFGET.

Anyone can use it. It came from a marketing booklet for people visiting Florida.

Ed, I still couldnt get the au02 code to work for thrifty but found another code that helped save some bucks with dollar. Mtblu, thank you so much for sharing that code I saved an additional $50 with dollar. Will I need anything from the marketing magazine, did it say anything about rules for using this code? thank you again!

It came from a FLAUSA brochure. You won't need anything from the brochure as it is a full page ad. In the ad it states:

Certain renter qualifications, holiday and other blackout periods apply. Vehicle availability at these special rates may be limited. All offers and promotions are subject to change without notice. Just to follow up on this code..... a compact prices at 119.99 + fees and an intermediate prices at 139.99 + fees. If you sign up for FASTLANE, you will get your card in a couple of weeks and you also get a 2 free upgrade coupons. If you reserve a compact or intermediate, they will upgrade you to the next car size up at the counter........ best rates for August that I can find.....

Has anyone noticed.....are rates coming down any?

I found an interesting rate at Alamo. I think it is thru American Airlines and I think you get bonus frequent flyer miles. At Alamo rental, use ID# 306703 and rate code AN. I found a full size car in September for 10 days at a base rate of $102.45/week and $16.29/each additional day ($167.61), plus $58.70 fees = $226.31

If I could find a coupon in addition to, that would be sweet!
