NPR reported this morning that the Iraqi Minister of Silly Statements, who has been a regular each day at the Palestine Hotel was a "no-show" today. Also failing to report as usual were all the "minders" assigned to each journalist.

maybe he was at that "dinner party" Saddam and his boys were at the other night.......

I think he made a statement yesterday after the " Saddam Dinner Party", so unfortunately I don't think we are that lucky to have gotten him too.

It is funny how no one showed up today. Maybe they met they marines and army that weren't in Baghdad.

Maybe Baghdad Bob is applying for a job as a commentator for NPR.

And he's already becoming cannon fodder for the late night talk show hosts. I think it was Craig Kilborn who said the following a couple of nights ago:

"Here's a sports update. Syracuse has defeated Kansas to win the men's NCAA basketball title by a score of 81 to 78. But according to the Iraqi Information Minister, KANSAS won by a score of 9,473 to 8 . . ."
