On the height requirements page online it says " persons under 40' must experience this attraction from an adjacent stationary seat. "

My son is 38' at the moment, would he be able to experience this ride? I know it seems obvious that he can ride but what would happen?

I haven't been on this ride before so I don't even know what happens or what it's about ( apart from minions obviously ) :)

I can't wait to ride it with my daughter, she is minion mad!

Lap bars on the ride go across the entire row on non stationary seats

Height restrictions are in place so the lap bar will fit all around their about middle/upper section when seated

The TM at the ride can decide if he is close to what they require

Can't have anyone with lap bar be even with a neck

Maybe your child has a long torso and will be able to do the ride

We wont be there until November, so fingers crossed he would of grown 2 inches pixiedust:

Are there two different groups of seats? I still don't understand what it means how he could experience it by an adjacent stationary seat?

Sorry, I think I am having a totally blonde moment

The stationary seats are in the front row. So I believe for you to sit next to him, you would also be in a stationary seat.

i have sat in the front row due to being with a person that gets motion sickness.

the seats have no movement

the one thing i didn't like to sit in that row or the first motion row is due to having to look up at the screen.
not used to that

i prefer to sit where i am eye level to the screen

He can ride with you in the stationary seats up front. No worries!

Ah that's good news, if he doesn't meet the height requirement ( 40" ) he can still ride. It's going to be very close...he is now 38" and we still have just over 7 months.

The "ride" is a big theatre with tiered seating in groups of 4. The seats do not leave the theater, they move in place: bouncing, leaning forward and back, shaking, etc. The very first row is stationary seats. I am not prone to motion sickness, but sitting the first row of moving seats was not a comfortable experience for me.

I've done it several times with a smaller child - or a child refusing to go in the moving seat. (Some of the times we went, it was still Jimmy Neutron). I told them and they put me in the first row and we sat on non-moving seats next to each other. (Or with the baby in the sling!)

Thank you, this makes sense to me now! I never even had an idea what the ride was so I looked on you tube and I did see a glimpse of the separate, seats at the front ( I think ).

This is good news, if my son doesn't grow between now and November he can still ride...I'm sure he would have a meltdown if his big sis was allowed on the minion ride and he wasn't :scared:
