Just wondering if there was one, because Delta cancelled our original second leg (ATL to MCO) and had us only having 1/2 hour in Atlanta to catch the new second leg. I called and made the argument that since we were flying out of Milwaukee in the winter, which would be apt to make us late due to weather, and if we missed the second leg we would be stuck in ATL for the night (last flight out), we should be moved to an earlier flight. Delta was very nice about agreeing to it, but the rep "assured" me that 1/2 hour was plenty of time to catch that second flight! I don't know...

ATL is huge, and I am sure 30 minutes is the minimum connecting time. It is also Delta's main hub, so they do occupy a lot of gates there. It will be close, but you would make it if everything goes smoothly.

The thought of being marooned in ATL the night after Xmas was too depressing! Now we're switching in Cinncinati, instead, and have an hour, so I'm fairly positive we'll be okay. One less thing to worry about...

We are going to Hawaii on business/pleasure in 3 weeks and the return flight layover in LAX was only 31 minutes, due to a flight change. I talked to the rep and expressed my concern and she gladly changed it. She also repeatedly mde the comment that 30 min. or more is "legal" but they would gladly change it since the airlines had changed one of our flights, not because it was originally booked that way.
