What a great day!
We met at the park at 2pm.Mom used her print out of her birthday
certificate at the ticket booth, and was given a birthday pin and wished "Happy Birthday!" We had PS at Cafe Orleans at 3pm. We had a nice outside table towards the back, towards the French Market. I had ordered her a Princess Cake $15.99 on the Dining Line. But I reminded the hostess , and she thanked me, because it wasn't on her list. So, if you make PS with a surprise Princess cake
, just remind them to be safe. Mom was in the ladies room at the time so I was able to be sly.
At lunch, I had the Rattatoulle , as usual. To start I had the French Onion Soup.
And a cup of coffee. Mom had the French Onion Soup also, and the Salmon Salad. Both were delish! Then after our meal, the waitress appeared with the birthday cake and a candle
, lit it and we sang her "Happy Birthday"
. Mom was really touched. We had ridden the HM twice
,watched Billy Hill and the Hillbillies
, the
Tea Cups TWICE! Mom loves the tea cups, the jungle
cruise, Poohs ride, watched Disneys
first 50 years. By the way, the last showing is on the 15th today! Mr. Lincoln will be back in the Fall. woo hoo! A few very special things happened. We went to the train and asked if we could ride the Lillie Belle. and we did! The cast member
Brian, ( so sweet!) also gave us each a Lillie Belle souvineer Ticket. I was telling Brian , during our trip around the Magic Kingdom that Mom had never seen
Fantasmic!, so he made a call and low and behold! Brian had gotten us practically front row seats to the show. (not the ones that serve coffee and dessert but it was just as great!) Mom loved the show and by the end was clapping and applauding for
Mickey! I did email
Disneyland.com last night at 2 am!to commend
Brian.
The lines were very little everywhere. We ended the night with riding IASW.
We had a great time
. Sorry I don't have pictures of the cake. But it is the same one that is on the Disneyland web site. Disney really goes out of their way to make sure that everyone has a great celebration
. I think the What will you Celebrate campaign is a success.
We left the park at around 11:30 pm. Good times! And just as an aside, my Mom wore her pedometer in the park and from 2pm to 11:30 pm we walked 8!!! Miles!!!
So, if you are there all day and at the end of your day wonder why your feet hurt? .....
I can't wait to go back!
