Mini hipster on rides

I just purchased a Vera Bradley mini hipster for our trip since I heard it would be great for Universal. Can I keep this small bag across my body on ALL rides?

The only "bag" I've ever heard of being allowed on FJ is a fanny pack. For that ride at least, I think you're looking at putting it in a locker or leaving it with a nonrider.

no, but, i've looped the strap around my neck & stuffed it down tshirtwhere it wouldn't move, safety 1st

fyi, i'm a VB fan but find i cannot use that bag on travel days to the parks, just not enough pockets for me. It does work well on other days though and often i forget i'm wearing it.

i find that overland equipment placer holds more stuff and is actually smaller (there's a newer model i have my eye on too - ellis), enjoy your trip.

My neighbor just returned from Universal..She still had to use a locker for her VB mini hipster, it wasn't allowed on some of the rides...which is good to know since I was planning on using mine too

I would say anything that stretches across the body is a no-no.

Others have reported not being able to use the mini hipster. The only thing you can definitely use is a fanny pack. Sorry someone misinformed you about the mini hipster and Universal.

Well geez, I was told I could use it on all the rides! Oh well, at least it's cute so I can use it in my daily life anyway! Guess I may end up with a fanny pack! LOL!

I love the VB mini hipster and have alot of them. I assumed that since it was crossbody and small that I'd be able to wear them on all the Universal rides. I can at WDW. Unfortunately at Universal, any ride that required a locker, I was told it had to go in the locker and only fanny packs were allowed on those rides. This was at Forbidden Journey, Hulk, Mummy, and even Men in Black. I did not ride Dueling Dragons but did walk through with my husband and was was told it had to go in the lockers there too if I was riding.

Surprised the above poster was able to stuff it down her shirt. This past Dec I had it on under my jacket. The CM saw just a little of the bottom edge of it, sticking out and even though my jacket was zipped up, he told me the bag still had to go in the locker.

Just FYI: I also have the Vera Bradley Tiny Traveler, which is even smaller than the mini hipster and also crossbody. It even had to go in the lockers. Since it's so small and flat, I tried it under a shirt, but they saw it and said it had to go in the lockers.

never an issue, i do have long hair and wear my t's very loose in the parks and i confess to being lumpy so it'd be hard to determine where i end and the bag begins

i never thought about it being a safety issue as the bag does get secured by ride restraints but i probably should stowe it. when there for a few days i do just use a lanyard zip thing i attach to belt loop and stick in pocket. our rrom is never ready when we check in early and i don't really want to mess with sticking valuables in hotel safe so i lug more stuff into parks

re being ok at wdw i do recall reading of gent who was struck by item on space mt very serious injury

If you like Vera Bradley, they have a Travel Belt Bag (aka Fanny pack) that WILL work on the rides at Universal.

I know you cannot take a Vera Bradley mini hipster on Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. They allow no cross-body bags at all.

I was not able to take it on the Hulk either.

You can take your cross body bag on all rides, EXCEPT THE FOLLOWING: Hulk, Dragons, Forbidden Journey, Rockit, Mummy, MIB.

Those rides have Required (Free while you ride) lockers.

Are you allowed to carry somthing on the Spiderman ride? I plan on wearing a fanny pack but was wondering if the kids got butterbeer in the souvenier mug if we can carry that with us on Spiderman? I won't go on hulk so I can hold stuff then. We will all ride Spiderman.

Yes. You can bring your stuff with you and put it in the netting or on the floor. It will be fine.
