My boys are 44 and 43 inches, so I think the city mini is out for us. I'm looking at Kingdom Strollers and see they have this new mini GT single for 2012. Has anyone used it yet? It's the same price as the city elite. I'm wondering what the difference is in bulkiness (how heavy it is) compared to the elite. Anyone know or have experience with it?

The Mini GT is much lighter. So much easier to lift and push. We owned the Elite and then sold it and got the Mini GT. My DD is still an infant so I can't comment on height, but everything I've read said its just as comfy as the Elite for bigger kids.

I just wanted to bump this thread up as I am making this decision now and was wondering if anyone else has input. We are going with our 2 kids (turning 3 on the trip) and 5 and are planning on getting a single stroller and a glider board for it from Orlando Strollers. The kids can switch off (and we can carry the little one in a sling if they are both sleepy.) The oldest is 50lbs. So weight wise the City Mini GT should be fine. Any reason why we should opt for the elite instead (it will cost the same.) Please keep in mind we will be using Disney transportation- trams and buses. Thanks! (And for comparison, the last two years we used a sit and stand stroller, but we sold it.)

We looked at both and ended up buying the elite. Dd had more room height wise, in the elite. She's 42 inches now and still has a couple more inches easily in there.

Bumping here..

Is the length on the handle to ground longer or the same between elite and gt.

DH is very tall and LOVED the Elite, after reading about weight I would lean towards the GT, if it was the same..

If not, I am going with the Elite, as it was very comfortable for him.

Thanks!

This would be for the single.. but I bet if the double is higher.. so is the single. Amazon, and babiesrus are no help with length.

Baby jogger's website has a full comparison of all the specs.

We went with the elite because it has a bit more room from the bottom of the seat up to the canopy. We also wanted the higher weight limit as my 2.5 year old is already 39 inches tall and 34 pounds.

The handle on our elite is easily adjustable, though I believe it is on the GT as well.

I find I don't mind holding the stroller and didn't at Disney. It's heavy, but so is my kid!

We rented an elite and own one as well, so we rented what we knew would work for us to match our home stroller.

I have the GT single- my 4 year old is 45 inches and 50 lbs and he is very comfortable in it. He can lay back with plenty of space and is good sitting up with the canopy over him (no head bumping). It's light and really super maneuverable.

I just bought the GT for my soon and it is great and lighter than the Elite. I would choose the GT.
