Mini Golf Courses

We didn't make ressies and had to wait about 5 minutes the first day and maybe 10 the second day. Mainly to let a group get for enough ahead so that we weren't playing slowly the whole time.

What are peak times for mini golf? My daughter and I plan to play at Fantasia next Saturday after an 11:20 brunch reservation at the Bon Voyage Breakfast.
unfortunately. That. Mid afternoon on the weekends is the worst time even though it's also the hottest time of the day. It's filled with people trying to do something other then a park that day. IMO the best times are late morning from opening to 11:30 and evenings around 6:00 est.

The Gardens course sounds awesome. Other than it being a little cooler at night, is there any advantage to playing either during the day or night? Is one better than the other?
the temperature is the biggest advantage. No other advantages I can think of.

Gardens compared to fairways is a matter of preference. Gardens is more of a traditional mini golf experience with all the features you would expect out of Disney. Fairways is more of a challenge that suits older groups of more serious players. Both are a lot of fun, but imo the Gardens course appeals to everyone while there are definitely people who would not enjoy the fairways course. Novices could easily find themselves extremely frustrated throughout the round. Fairways also takes much longer to play. Definitely not ideal during scorching hot days.

We shave our return home flight at 8 pm on Sunday, Dec. 2. Have a final ADR brunch at Chef Mickey's at 2 pm. Recently had the brilliant idea (through noticing other people's posts) about mini golf! So, that being check out day would work, since the rest of our schedule (including "rest" days) are pretty planned out already. WDW website has a 10 am opening. Some questions:

1) anybody have a good idea of when we should leave Blizzard Beach to head over to Contemporary?

2) Given that time frame, would our family of 5 realistically have a shot at playing through both courses without a huge rush? We might want pics with the theming.

3) Is one admission good for one course or for both courses

4) we actually have a three-part split stay. I know that for a MYW package reservation, you get the vouchers. Would that be vouchers times 3? My parents also are staying in their own package, also with a three-part split stay. 3 sets of vouchers for them, too? They most likely will be leaving the area (and picking up their dog from the WDW kennel) fairly early and not joining us for mini golf.

TIA!

you should be able to get from Blizzard Beach to Contemporary for your reservation in under 30 minutes.

if you get there at 10:00 absolutely Should even have time to spare. They may ask you to split up though. 4 is usually the max per group.

One admission, one round. You have 24 hours to return and play a 2nd round for 1/2 the cost of a round. So $21 gets you two rounds of golf.

If you have 3 MYW packages, you should have 3 separate vouchers. So yes. You can play 3x.

Thank you! I hope they don't ask us to split up... Our family is me, DW, DS14, DS9, and DS6, though all of our kids have an assortment of special needs where DW and I both need each other from time to time. But regardless, thanks for the great info!

If each of your kids have special needs, they will likely make an exception. They will probably ask you to be conscious of others and let them play through if your group is very slow.

How is the bus transportation to Winter Summerland? We have to catch a bus to Animal Kingdom and then transfer to Blizzard Beach correct?

Someone should confirm this for me, but since Blizzard Beach is indeed a park, each resort that busses to parks should also have direct bus to Blizzard Beach, right?

We have done both! They are both very well done. We did the winter course at winter summerland and my kids had a blast! When we did this one I want to say it was a little later in the day, so a bit busier but most people were doing the summer course so we chose winter!! Having said that, I've never seen them packed where you need to wait or anything...

We loved the Fantasia gardens "gardens" course. It was interactive....which allowed for some really neat surprises!! We went there right when it opened and by the time we were done golfing there were only three other groups there so it wasn't too busy.

Both are good for adults and kids, depending on where you are staying I would go to whichever one is easier for you to get to. We did Fantasia gardens when we were staying at the boardwalk, so it made a quick walk! We did winter summerland when we stayed at AKL because we just took the bus to blizzard beach and walked from there!!

You can't go wrong with either!!

I'm pretty sure most resorts don't bus to blizzard beach anymore. Buses to blizzard beach are from Animal Kingdom Park. A few hotels still had buses but it was limited last I knew.

If we wanted to go to Fantasia courses, and play both courses in the evening, how early before closing time should we arrive. Party of 4 adults?

I would give yourselves 3 hours. an hour for each course and an hour of waiting to tee off.
