Mini Folders

Hi - I have been surfing the Disney stuff posted on twopeas and saw some mini file folders -- I am just wondering how you use them ? do you put decorations on the outside and a pic on the inside or pic out descrip in? thanks they look really neat.. Michelle

hey, I made a disney mini file folder book (it's over on 2peas someplace). I just printed out my own pictures so I could make them whatever size I wanted to and stuck them in the book. It was easier than doing a whole album and it was just fun. You could make them as family xmas/birthday/etc presents (they are really fast to make) or "coffee table books"... maggie

so you make them yourself out of whatever and cover with the acid free paper and decorations?

I use mini file folders on LO's for secret journaling sometimes too....

I have a Build a bear layout on 2peas where I added a file folder album to a page to put 11 photos in!

I have also done one for my disney album jus tlikeit - with each 2page spread being something different - but not something I wanted to devote a full 12x12 page too!

yeah, the cheerio box one is mine. I am not one to ask about acid free though. I don't really pay a lot of attention to that. But yes, that would be the general idea. maggie

Can some of you post links the the albums or pages you're talking about? I'd love to see them! I've also seen the file folders and not really figured out how to use them. The mini album is especially intriguing, as I usually have more pics than room for them on the page....

When you say "made out of an empty Cheerio's box" do you mean you cut the box into the file folder shapes? I assume so it would be nice and sturdy? And are you going to put pics in it or is it done?

thanks. I did just cut out the cheerios box into the shape. I actually couldn't find any extra regular size file folders to cut down. I did just put pictures in it the other day. maggie
