Mini Camcorder Question

So I'm thinking of getting my DD one of those little mini camcorders for Christmas. I saw a Jazz for $30 and then I've seen the Flip ones. Are these good or should we go with an actual mini camcorder? Any reviews on these?

I have the 120 minute Flip. Its a great size for keeping in my car or purse for those unexpected moments. The only problem I have is that the zoom isn't very clear. I was at a softball game and trying to get a video of someone batting - it turned out a little grainy. Now I know to try and get as close as I can to the object. Overall a great camcorder!
