Mine Train Wait

Ack! I'm a little bummed because my mom and sis bought tickets at a different (later) time and now I can't get fast passes reserved for them. Now 2 of us have them and 2 don't. Our trip isn't for two weeks but they are all gone! :sad2:

I would suggest get there at RD and go straight there. I am sure everyone else will do the same thing, but it will still be less crowded than when the masses enter a couple of hours later. (Then the two of you with FP's can ride twice!)

Keep trying, and avoid using the app for this.

Thanks for the advice. I'll keep trying. If not we may just split up. Two of us go one day and two on our second MK trip. Not what we in visioned but it would work to avoid a long stand by. Mom can't stand long so it may be our best bet.

Yikes! I'm not there, but I've been peeking at Lines app all day and seeing 70, 80, 90 minutes mostly. I didn't start checking until 10:30 eastern. . . My mindset will be anything in the 60 min or less range will be considered something I'll wait for WDWs newest ride. Anything less than that I may consider a "drop everything and head over there" moment ;)

I've been watching the app and so far 90 is the highest I've seen.

Same here, yet someone posted a picture on reddit this morning and it said 180 minutes. The poster said it had only been open 10 minutes. My thinking is that was an anticipatory wait time put up by Disney and it just never reached that. Strange that they would be that wrong about it though.

I was there at rope drop. Went straight to the mine ride and waited about 20 min before getting on. After I had been in line for about 10 min I could see the line extended past the tea cups around the backside. Wait time when I was halfway through the line on MDE said 30 min. After I was off and for the next couple hours it showed 120 min. Then I saw on MDE is showed 70 min about an hour ago but said "closed".

I'll have to see what it's like tonight. I have FP's for 9pm

Well my friend just got me a FP for Mine Train tomorrow ... but neglected to select himself, as well, so it's just me. :/ But it is possible to get them, if you get lucky.

Edited: And 20 minutes later, we now both have FP for Mine Train tomorrow 5:35-6:35. :)

I have seen this too. Wondering if people were hanging out in line in hopes of a quick restart and hoping about 1/2 the people would give up and leave the line :confused3

Great news, enjoy!!

I could really FEEL your pain when it looked like you might get to ride but they wouldn't. :rolleyes1

90 minutes is a shockingly low wait time in the middle of the day for this brand new, 2.5 years in the making attraction that just opened.

Or....
stay until park closing and get in line just before closing time.

7:30 WDW time and it's a 70 min wait.

My parents were there this morning at 10:30 and the wait time was posted at 120 minutes. They said that they only waited 60 minutes so perhaps wait times have been inflated?:confused3

We rode the mine train twice last Friday (24 hour day). We got on first thing in the morning with about a 15 min wait and then around 2:00am with about an hour wait (posted 75 min). Fastpass was not running, so that factors in the wait times today.
