This would then suggest a grand opening sometime in early May. Also this would meet the former spring 2014 opening time they were aiming for. No word on any soft openings as of right now.

For the rest of Fantasyland there were soft opening at least a month before the press day and official opening, so it's very possible we will see softs of the Mine Ride sometime in March.

I will be there April 28th to May 2nd, does this mean my chances are good that I'll be able to ride it?? That'd be so cool to be one of the first people on the ride!

They may also do like they did with Fantasy Land and have invite DVC members to ride first

There is video on FB of the trains being tested with sand bags in them so March sounds about right.

well they just took part of the walls down they have been doing a lot of detailing work as of late and really the most work left is the queue area. The cars run on the track almost daily.

Interesting. As of my Feb trip, there were still plenty of walls up and they were working on the mountain itself. Looking through the little window, the track area looked very bare - like there was a lot of finishing work yet to be done. Anything is possible I guess. I'm just glad it will definitely be done and well tested by my next trip.

go look at some of the pictures from the when the walls were being taken down. It looks very well detailed.

depends on official opening date and what the media event all entails.

I would love to ride this with my 3 and 4 year old boys as we will be there Apr 27-May 4 but, even if it is open, there is no way they could handle the LONG line.

What do you think the wait time on this would be- 2, 3 hours?
