~*~ Mindyjoy's May 19 2012 Disneyland Wedding TR ~*~ Trip Report Has Begun!

The dress is gorgeous.. but not you? Sometime similar with a burst of color.

Like if you could remove the belt and put a COLORED belt on there with a big ol PINK flower! OMG! Faboooo.

That dress is really gorgeous... and you said you already tried it on, right? So you know that it looks good. And that's a good price!

Yeah, NEEDS MOAR PINK. :cutie:

Completely loving that dress :)

Thank you, I can't get it out of my head. :goodvibes

I tried on a version with sleeves that was way too big for me. But I did like it. I would need to try on the strapless one before I buy one online.

I LOVE that dress!! The ruching detail is just stunning!

Yes, I love the ruching!

One of the dresses that I tried on and liked is on preownedweddingdresses.com. But it's the strapless version. Hmmmmm ..... What do you guys think?

This dress is so pretty! :) I think the strapless version would look amazing. Did you get a chance to try it on?

MindyJoy, I was wondering what is the best way to start out planning a Disneyland wedding, based on your experience. It sounds so exciting, but I have no idea where to start!

Hi, thanks! No, I haven't tried on the strapless, only the one with sleeves. :)

MindyJoy, I was wondering what is the best way to start out planning a Disneyland wedding, based on your experience. It sounds so exciting, but I have no idea where to start!

Hi Trixie, I started by calling the main Disneyland Fairy Tale Weddings number for Disneyland Resort, which is (714) 956-6527. Let them know you would like more information about weddings at the Disneyland Resort and they will email you a PDF brochure. After reading the brochure, you can call back and they will connect you to a sales consultant (for me, they took my phone number and the consultant called me within the hour but I've heard that the call back can take a couple days or even a week).

I hope that helps!

While at Target today I saw these cute letters in the baby section, of all places. I'm thinking I will decorate them and hang them on the back of our chairs, or hang them from the gazebo, or somewhere! They were only $6 each.

I went to Alfred Angelo last night. That's right, dress shopping round 2.

My BFF and I were set to go there for their sample sale but she bailed on me at the last minute due to feeling ill. DF graciously agreed to go with me and I didn't want to waste too much of his time so I kind of rushed through the store and we were only there for an hour.

I tried on three dresses from the sample sale, but DF accidentally deleted one of them, although the dress was way too big and didn't look very good any way.

This one was $98. I pulled it because of the pink, of course. But, it's a little boring.

This one was $498, marked down from $1400! I loved this dress, but not the color! The other thing I didn't like was the little butterfly detail in the rhinestones.

But perhaps if it was in pink I would have bought it! I loved the shape and the subtle pickups.

I asked DF if I could try on a few more and he said okay, so I tried on a few Disney dresses! They didn't have the new Rapunzel dress (boo!) and they only had three of the dresses in my size (double boo!!). So I tried on these three:

Tiana.

I loved the bodice of this dress, the flower detail, and the little strap (that I'm covering with my hair, d'oh) but did not care for the puffy skirt.

Ariel.

Very pretty, but didn't like it at all! It didn't help that DF laced me up so it's not on properly but still, I couldn't walk in it at all! Haha

Snow White.

Again, loved the bodice. For some reason I'm holding the skirt in, but it looked pretty when it was puffed out.

I wish I could get the Tiana top and the Snow White skirt! :goodvibes

I love that Tiana dress on you!!!! Though I may be a bit bias aka my profile pic :goodvibes Gorgeous, Gorgeous, Gorgeous is all I can say!

I'm still pro-Tiana! I really think it looks best on you! But now that you know the 2 parts of Snow White and Tiana that you loved maybe you could find something that has the two elements together?? Or ask them at Alfred Angelo if they could make it custom??

Love the Tiana bodice on you! The ruching and the neckline are definitely working for you!

What about something like this?
