As we parked at David's Bridal and got out of the car, it started to hail/sleet, which is EXTREMELY BIZARRE for So Cal and the first time I had ever seen hail. I joked that I always thought it would be a cold day in h*** if I ever went wedding dress shopping, and I was pretty close.

I thought this was great!

I really liked the look of #10. And you did look gorgeous in #12. The most important thing is that it feels like a second skin to you. You are going to be in that dress for hours and hours!

Yeah, I definitely agree with you about being unique and not wearing what everyone else is [have you read my pj?! haha]

But I definitely vote #7 though! Definitely my fav. Cause I feel like 12, is going to be worn.. a lot. But idk if it'll be in pink?? #7 is really gorgeous.. I can't help but keep scrolling back up to look at it.. and with you in it it just screams BRIDE! And looks gorgeous.

Thank you! 10 was my favorite tea length for sure. But it has more of a vintage feel, while my theme is more of an enchanted garden thingy. I really love how 12 felt; it looks impressive without being too heavy and uncomfortable.

It's definitely between 7 and 12 at this point but I'm not sure if either is "the one." I know she said 12 was their best seller, but when she said no one had ordered it in pink I felt better. Thank you for the compliment.

Just a few pictures from my engagement party, which was the same day as dress shopping.

My homemade centerpieces, favors (jelly bellies in tulle with a little tag with our website on it), and our drink menu, which we ended up naming a combo of our last names.

My favorites were 7, 11 and 17. Of course, I may be partial to #7 because it looks a bit like mine, only fancier/shinier. The upper body style looks identical. I would love 17 if it came in pink flowers, but too bad However, it really sounds like you loved that pink dress, so if that's the one you're feeling you should go with it!

Thanks! Renting it worked out very well and I felt really good in it. I will probably rent dresses again!

I really loved 11 in the catalog but I felt like I looked big in it, not that I'm a big person but it just wasn't very flattering. And no bride wants to feel "fat" on their wedding day. I really loved the bodice of 17, I thought it was very flattering but I feel the black flowers are not the look I'm going for. If they came in pink I may have bought it on the spot!!!

I really love 7, too, I am on the search to find it in my size so I can try it on again.

I know. I had always imagined I would be proposed to by the waterfalls. But it's okay, the way DF did it was perfect. I'm excited to see what will be in store for that area. It should be nice.

I am update crazy lately!!!! Too much good stuff going on!

FIRST OF ALL, my diploma arrived!

Signed by Ah-nold and everything. It's so pretty, I love to just sit and stare at it.


Next, MAJOR SHIRT SCORE from Old Navy. Okay, this sounds kind of creepy, but I fit into a kids XL and I love to shop in the kids section at Old Navy. They have the CUTEST Disney and Hello Kitty shirts. I got this yesterday.

It's kind of difficult to read but it says "It's all about the shoes!"


Yesterday I finally got around to opening gifts from our engagement party. We got lots of thoughtful things, but this was the one Disney/Wedding related item, and it's AWESOME:

At first I was all about having the "Non-Disney Disney" wedding and not having Mikey and Minnie everywhere, but now that I have these in my hot little hands, I LOVE THEM and of course we will be using them!!!!! What a thoughtful gift from our dear friends.


AND FINALLY, I had an initial phone call with Nathan Root of THE ROOTS! I told him my budget and they are going to put together a couple package options for us. I really really really hope we can work something out with them, because I just love their work so much!!!!!

I still need to upload my venue photos from last Sunday; hopefully I'll get to it this weekend!!!
