I know that someone on the DIS knows the breakdown of prizes awarded during the Millionaire game. I've gotten my DH excited about the game :cool1: and he wants an exact breakdown of what he's playing for. Anything to get and keep him excited! TIA!

100 to 1000 pts _ collector pin for each question then a baseball cap with 1000 written on bill and the WWTBAMPI logo on the front.

1000 to 32,000 - Collector pin for each question then a Polo shirt with the logo embroidered on the front for the 32,000.

32,000- 1,000,000 - Collector pin for each question then a leather bomber jacket, Gold Medallion, and a Disney Cruise for 4 for the 1,000,000 question.

It is played like the TV if you miss a question you drop to the lowest plateau..

The cruise has eluded my family but we are still hoping.

When we were there at Thanksgiving, I made it into the hotseat. Boy is it HOT! :firefight ...actually, I'm used to being on stage under the lights (I'm a small stage actress here at home) but the hardest part is the timer. You have a time limit to answer each question. On the higher point questions, this can get nerve racking! It was great fun. I got all the way up to the 125,000 point question. I missed it. DH in the stands knew the right answer. (wish we had ESPN...oops I mean ESP :rotfl2: )

Calling a complete stranger (a lifeline) was interesting. I spoke to a guy who was fun to talk to, but didn't know the answer.

I got all the pins and the cap and the shirt. It was great fun. Can't wait to go back and try it out again.

So, for every question DH gets right, I get a new pin! That will be wonderful! :cheer2:

My bf made it to the hotseat last week!! He got the pins, lanyard and hat, they are so neat!

First, Congrats! Now my question is did you get tot keep the pins up to the 125,000 point question- like the 64,000 point pin or did you only get to keep up to the 32,000???

Thanks!

I only got to keep the ones up to 32,000. Should have just stopped.

Too bad they didn't let you keep the ones for as far as you get- still very cool though.

So, do you get all things at the one million, but nothing before but pins?

64,000 - pin
125,000 - pin
500,000 - pin
1,000,000 - jacket,medallion, cruise?
TIA

Just like the TV show there's the option of walking away and keeping the pins you've won up till that point. But if you miss the 1,000,000 pt question then you lose the pins past 32,000. You've already locked in the hat, shirt, and pins through 32,000, so you would get those. One of the CM's at DCA's WWTBAM-PI (now gone) said he actually saw someone walk at 500,000 rather than guess, "because he was an avid pin collector" and didn't have a clue on the question in front of him.

WWTBAM-PI was closed when we went in January because they were taping episodes of the actual show. I can't wait to go in October and try it! I have been watching reruns on the Game Show channel to see how often I can answer correctly. I can usually get up past the $1000 level without using any lifelines, but the other day there was a lower value question (What is the logo for Blockbuster?) that I would have answered and been wrong! And I would have been confident about it, too, so I wouldn't have hesitated. Of course it doesn't matter if I know the answers if I don't get to the hot seat, now does it?

How does it work if your child gets in the hot seat? I think I remember someone saying the kids can have a parent help, but I'm not sure.

Are the questions Disney related or just like the game on TV?
They are ANYTHING related. I remember when my husband and I went to play for the first time, a woman made it all the way to the 1,000,000 question and it was about the distance from the earth to the moon (she wound up losing). Some other questions we faced were about history, I remember one about a company that we had to answer what they made (And I remember many people not getting that one...I did only because I saw an advertisement for the company at MCO). So really, you have to be prepared for any kind of question.

Excuse my naivete but how does one make it to the Hotseat? Are people selected to fastest finger? Enquiring minds want to know... hehe :teeth:

The fastest finger question is open to the entire audience not just the 10 in the fastest finger row. It is usually better to just pick a sequence of ABCD rather then trying to actually answer the question. I bet that only about 15% of the time does the person answering actually know the answer. The other 85% is made up of people who guess there answers.

Everybody in the audience can play so when the person that wins the Fastest finger bombs and has to leave they then pick the person from the audience that is the highest on the leader board. To be the highest you need to be quick and get the answer correct.

Remember to start clicking on the answer as soon as you know it not waiting until it lights up. You lose valueable time doing it that way.

Good Luck...Can't wait to see what level I get to in June. The million point question has eluded me so far...

I am wondering about this as well. :)

Yes, kids under a certain age (10 I think) can have a parent stand beside them to help out. The kid sits in the hot seat.

Also someone asked about the questions, and they do tend to ask a Disney related question or two amongst the early rounds, but generally it's just like the TV show - any topic is fair game.
