Has anyone ever got to the hot seat in millionaire. My DH got 3rd on the board but unfortunatly the game finished. I always go slow to answer because although i like to watch i think i would die if i got in the seat.

I havent done Millionaire yet but would rather eat slugs than be in the hot seat!

We have done WWTBAM but never got to the hot seat - which is probably a good thing as all the questions are so US orientated that we'd not win anything anyway

Matt and I have both been at the top of the leader board a few times. When we were there last May, our friend got into the hot seat. He only got the first couple of prizes (pins, cap, t-shirt), but it was a riot. The host asked him what he did for a living and he replied that he 'worked with animals'. We cracked up, prompting the host to press him further. He artificially inseminates cows! He was a minor celeb for the rest of the day - even during Fantasmic people were coming up to him and shaking his hand!

Another time (January 2004) we got on to a live recording with Meredith Vieira. We were in the front row right behind her, but we never got to see the show itself.

when we were there in september, the first person into the hot seat was a 10 year old boy who had randomly hit the buttons on that first question (the one where you have to put things in order)....he just randomly hit the buttons (he didn't know the answer) and did it faster than anyone else, so he got into the hot seat..

when he first got to the hot seat, the host (actually hostess in this case) asked him if he had known the answers or just hit the buttons...he admitted that he had just hit the buttons....funny....
they were actually very nice to him....they gave him very easy questions for the first group (up to the hat prize) that he would know....then they went back to regular questions, so that he was knocked out after his 3 lifelines...
