Millionaire attraction to close at Disney-MGM

Well I am sad to see Millionaire go; however, I am glad to see they will be replacing it with a family friendly ride. The Studios needed another ride attraction. I still think it needs more, but this is a start.

Both of those rides take people in cars through a maze of indoor scenes with robotic characters and other special effects. On Men in Black, riders shoot ray guns at aliens and tally scores. On Roger Rabbit, riders have some control over driving their cars.

I hope it's not MGM's version of Buzz Lightyear.

I'm psyched for the new ride. MGM needs more rides. Millionaire is tired anyway, like the show.

already heard the news in another post- but question

so is Friday the 18th the last day it will run? or will it run on the 19th as well as the last day? We arrive at 4pm on the 18th and i can't decide if it is worth it go over there (we were planning to do DTD and epcot).....DH has never seen it, but i fear it would be crowded if the 18th is the last day.

I am very sad about this attraction closing. It has always been one of my favorites.

It's supposed to be from what I hear....

I think I heard that Toy Story will be the theme of the new ride, for anyone who wants to know.

"Regular course of reevaluation"? Millionaire's tired and ready to be replaced, but Drew Carey's Sound's Dangerous isn't? I wonder how many guests would rather have seen "Sound's Dangerous" replaced than "WWTBAMPI"? I have yet to meet any "Sound's Dangerous" fans. When we were there, DH and I were the only two in the whole theater, the only attraction that's ever happened on.

I actually called this a long time ago. A couple months ago I posted about a rumor popping up about the WWTBAM leaving and being replaced with a ride.

The rumored ride I heard at the time was either a CARS oriented ride or more likely a "Chronicles of Narnia" ride of some sort.

It was rumored that Iger was determined to get some sort of Narnia attraction in at MGM.

My heart sank when I saw the title of this thread ~ but our last day there is August 18th so we'll still get to go after all!! Yay!! :woohoo:
