The only time someone else gets added is when they are solo. I found that out after being put with a couple ahead. At least it was all amicable, if a little awkward. If an extra person gets added to your group by a cast member, just remember that it feels a little awkward for them and try to be welcoming.

I ended up a third wheel to a couple, but at least they were nice about it. I was the engineer for that flight, performed near perfectly. The pilots, on the other hand, not so much, according to the final tally.
