We have ADR's for WCC, Sci-Fi and 50's PT Cafe. Can you get a milkshake for both adults and kids inplace of dessert on the DP?

Also, can you get smoothies at BOMA, Kona, Ohana, Le Cellier as your beverage for both kids and adults?

Can you tell me what the portion sizes are, especially for the kids? We don't want them to overdo it on the beverages. Otherwise they will fill up and not eat their meals.

Thank you in advance.

Jacqueline

This past week we were able to get milkshakes as dessert at WC, Prime Time, and Sci-Fi. You can get a milkshake or smoothie as your beverage at WC. We were not able to get smoothies as drinks at Ohana. We did not eat at the other restaurants you listed.

we were at Ohana 9/13 and we had smoothies with the free dinning plan. And in Kona too.

We ate at Sci Fi last week and were offered (w/o asking) milshakes as our beverage on the dining plan. We were also told only adults could do this. Not sure why? We got the oreo cookie and it was not that good.

WE had milkshakes at WC the week of Sept. 12. However, we ate at O'hana on Sept 15 and the smoothies had just been taken off DDP. Our server said it was her first shift of not being able to off smoothies. Of course, my girls were not happy as I had told them they were available. You might want to check as it seems things are always changing!

We were able to get milkshakes as our drinks at 50s in Aug - adult and child. :thumbsup2

Smoothies were offered as beverages at Boma and Kona when we were there the week of Sept. 5-10.
Didn't order them since we didn't want to fill up on drinks and not FOOD!!

Babs

When we were in disney in August we were allowed a milkshake at Sci Fi for a beverage and we were allowed non-alcoholi drinks or smoothies at Le Cellier and Kona. The chocolate raspberry smoothie at Le Cellie and a sand in the pants at kona (bottom was a pina colada and top was a strawberry daiquri). They were both really good and I would highly recommend them both.

Out of those listed we ate at Boma, Le Cellier and Kona. Only at Boma were we offered the smoothie- and this was IN ADDITION (not a replacement) to our regular drinks. We had the buffet, a soda each and a smoothie each.

The smoothies we ordered were the berry kind, and absolutely delicious!

Of course we never thought to ask at Le Cellier and Kona- we were just not offered it.

Thank you all. I appreciate all of your experiences. I know that my kids would love to have them but like one poster said, I would not want them just filling up on the drinks. All sound absolutely yummy and I am sure to try a few myself if they are available to try.

We were offered smoothies at Kona and Concourse Steakhouse (and milkshakes at CS)....I can't remember at Boma, but DH is pretty sure they didn't mention them to us (but we didn't ask)

We had mango smoothies at Le Cellier and Boma, and milkshakes at WCC. All were beverages, not desserts. Ohana told us "any non-alcoholic beverage," so the kids got virgin pina coladas. I don't know whether they would have allowed a smoothie.

We were also allowed an additional beverage on the DDP at Boma, so we opted for the pressed pot of tea (they also have Kenyan coffee). It was a great way to end the meal.

Here's my big plan: We are having lunch @ WCC and plan to share two TS credits for four people as DS and I want nachos as our entree. I'm going to try and get four milkshakes as two beverages/two desserts. Don't know if it will work or not, but know that we usually don't eat as much for lunch and don't want to use four credits for that meal. I'll report back and let everyone know if we were able to or not.

Just an FYI ~ we ate @ Pepper Market on Dining Plan in May & were offered Smoothies there in addition to our drinks & desserts!!! :goodvibes

Update -- We went to WCC as planned and used two credits for four people. We all got the milkshakes and when it came time to order dessert, I told our server that we were too full to order and would like to use two of the shakes as dessert and two as beverages. She seemed a bit unhappy and told me sorry -- milkshakes were beverages and nothing more. I told her that was fine but that we still weren't going to order dessert and could we please have the check. When she brought it to us, she said by entering the guest count as two instead of four, it processed the check using two credits.

We did this in May also. The waitress offered, so we took her up on it. :) Afterwards, I regretted it because I was stuffed!!!!

We had lunch there 10/2 - DD & I were sharing. I asked upfront if we could each have a shake, counting one as dessert, and the server said that was fine.

I was offered a smoothie as my drink at Le Cellier. It was some kind of berry one. Very yummy. And at WCC, the sweetpea had a milkshake that was counted as a dessert since her and I split our meal.

I always think it's odd about the smoothies: I never find them listed on the menu, and there's not way to know the prices until you order. When I ask, a lot of times the server at whatever restaurant I'm at says something like "oh we have all kinds...vanilla...chocolate...whatever you want." I don't know how they think I would know if they don't tell me all the choices or have them listed--durian flavor? Cotton candy?

Someday, I'm going to compile a price/flavor listing for shakes/smoothies at all the places over there. Or at least keep looking for someone else's price/flavor listing.
