Military Tickets

Does anyone know if the military member needs to be with you when you initial use the ticket? My son bought us tickets on base for my birthday and plans to join us. Does he have to be with us to show ID when we first use them?

Depends on if they are the greatly discounted "Military Salute" tickets or the general discounted Military tickets.
The Military Salute tickets: yes the service member needs to be present on first use at the entrance gates. The other less discounted tickets: no, the service member does not need to be present.

Every time we have used the Salute tickets, they have been very strict about checking the Military ID upon first use (which I applaud). After first use, you can use the remaining days whenever you want until they expire without the military member present. They also check the expiration date on the Military ID, as another poster on this board had an expired ID and was not allowed to use her military tickets.

Sigh.... Of all my contributions to the world, I do believe that on my gravestone, it will say something like, "She didn't check the expiration date on her military spouse identification, so she became a cautionary tale on the Disboards." Hahaha!
