Do they offer the military tickets 4 Days for $179 every year. Looking to go in 2016 but doesn't look like they have made that offer yet. I heard they may be discontinuing the Non expiration tickets.

Nobody knows.

The offer has not been the same every year; it was far more generous in past years.

They announced the 2015 program back in July '14. Expect the same for 2016, if they plan to continue it.

While you're waiting, consider Shades of Green and their standard Stars and Stripes passes you can buy if you're (a) eligible to use Shades of Green, and (b) staying somewhere on property.

This year it is $177. Last year it was $169. Each year it goes up with the ticket price increases and since they increased it this year for regular tickets there will probably be an increase if they choose to renew it. It wasn't announced until mid-summer if they were continuing the program last year.

I received this in the militarydisneytips.com e-mail blast I received most recently - this site is very knowledgeable regarding the Armed Forces Salute program, and has been quite accurate in past years.

Disney Armed Forces Salute Renewal

Each year at this time the big question for our community becomes, Will Disney renew the Disney Armed Forces Salute and when will the do it?

Last years the timing of the renewal caused big issues with both FastPass Plus reservations and Disney Resort military discounts in the month of October and November.

I spoke extensively with Disney during and after this timeframe on just how the timing affected our community and they did state that it was an oversight and that their intent is that no guests be left out.

As we move forward this year I’m continuing to engage with Disney to see if we can get the announcement date moved earlier, so stay tuned.

In the mean time you can check my full post on the subject on the blog.

If they don't want guests left out then they should also sell tickets based on length of stay.
More often then not we buy regular priced tickets because four days doesn't work cost wise.
Same goes this yr, 12 people, 3 rooms, no tickets that work = buying 10 day online cheaper

They do offer other military discounted tickets is just not as big of a discount. Why complain about an already good discount that they do not have to offer at all?:sad2:

Where are discounted tix besides the four day?
I'm not complaining just stating the fact that you can't buy (that I'm aware of) salute tics to match your trip which seems silly to me. Just as silly as they make you buy a ten day and five day ticket if you are going to 15 days
If there are discounted tix, then I question why they were not offered to me when I asked about guests who stay more then four day

MWR offices on base sell regular MYW tickets, but at a discounted price.

For example, for your situation, the base nearest me is selling 10 day adult park hopper tickets for $419.25 instead of $456.89 that you get at the website or the gate. Savings is $37.64/adult ticket.

Shades of Green also sells Stars and Stripes tickets. Stars and Stripes tickets are, according to shadesofgreen.org:
Valid for the number of days on the ticket. Includes Park Hopping plus the Water Park Fun & More Options. Does not include Miniature Golf

A 10 day Stars and Stripes ticket, which gives you 10 days for regular park entry as well as 10 admissions to the WPF&M options (excluding mini golf - is $422.00. Slightly more than the 10 day park hopper tickets from MWRs, but for that extra $3, you get 10 admissions to the WPF&M options.

Stars and Stripes tickets can only be purchased at Shades of Green. Click here for the full price list. I do not know if they are selling Stars and Stripes tickets over the phone or by fax in order to now accommodate for FP+. That you would have to ask SOG directly.

Who did you ask? Disney? Disney phone CMs likely have no knowledge of what base ITT/MWR offices sell, nor do they have knowledge of what Shades of Green sells. The discounted tickets I discuss in this post aren't available through Disney, only through military base ITT offices and Shades of Green.

Thanks for the detailed info!
Are those prices after the increase a couple of weeks ago?
Curious because OTC via tp 10 day hopper was $419, currently 423
Sog I didn't look into recently because last I did check they didn't have a fp+ "fix" so I assumed it was the same.
Although their current list price is only $1 less then OTC anyway
I did ask a phone cm, when I booked the rooms I inquired about the tix.

I don't know what OTC is...but according to the disney website, the current 10 PH ticket is $456.89, which is what was listed as the gate price on the ITT ticket list - so I assume that is current.

The Stars and Stripes tickets from SOG are as current as Shades' website is. I have no reason to believe they aren't accurate.

Shades is still considered offsite, so their guests only get 30 days, but they have figured out a way to get those guests their ticket information - at least with Salute tickets - so they can book at 30 days. I don't know if they can or are doing the same for guests buying Stars and Stripes tickets. You would have to call Shades and ask.

Yeah, they aren't going to know what bases and shades of green are offering.

I hope this helps :)

Fwiw OTC is official ticket center
They have a discount link via touring plans similar to undercover tourist and mousesavers
Anyone can buy via the link and save.

Just because you weren't aware of, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. No you can't buy salute tickets more than four days (but you can buy 2 salutes and use it back to back) because that is the offer and it is a really great price, if that is what disney wants to offer I am sure there is a reason for it. It is great that they offer a discount at all. It is not silly to me that they already offer a great room discount and people complain having to pay for tickets because they are staying more than 4 days. It is not that they don't offer tickets for a stay longer that 4 days is that they don't offer a extra discount (on top of the great room discount) that you are complaining. If you go more than 10 days is cheaper to buy an annual pass that is why 15 day tickets are not available.

As pp mention you can not buy them through disney, just like you can't buy salute tickets in advance through disney. Cm give out the wrong information all the time (not that the cm should know the prices of tickets on base).
