this seems like a good value and great new offering!

Very awesome AP...wondering what/if any AP perks are included. We'll definitely be getting these APs for the kids and honestly I'll probably switch to this as well as it'll save close to $1000 for the yr. even if no perks.

That's an incredible deal for the AP equivalent. Will be letting FIL/MIL know about this for sure. They've bought the other types of tickets in the past, but wow, almost a whole year for 499.00!!!

I apologize if this is a silly question, but who exactly is eligible for these tickets? My husband is active duty, so I know the two of us could get these. However, would I be able to ALSO get these tickets for my parents and my sister? Would I or my husband have to be present with them every time they wanted to use them, or would they be good to go without us after they were validated the first time?

You would be eligible to purchase 6 total...one must be used by you or your husband - the other 6 can be anyone. It used to be that you would have to "activate" the tickets at guest relations once you got them (just need someone with military id and everyone who would be using the tickets). The last several yrs if you buy straight from shades of green they come activated so saves a step, but either way the others can come/go as they pls once tix r activated. Not sure if there will be any changes with new yr/tix. type though.

Do you think the AP will be the same "rules" as the usual Military Salute tickets in that the eligible member just needs to be with you to activate the ticket and after that you can come and go as you please? Or would the eligible member need to be with you every time?

No, I can't imagine the service member or spouse would need to constantly be stuck to everyone in the party. Logistically it's not realistic and I'm 99.999999% positive in that regard it'll be same as all the other military tix.

I assumed, but sometimes you never know! Eglin AFB just posted something on FB confirming though.

Will Disney accept a digital picture on my phone for the military ID to activate? My dad doesn’t like to carry his on him for vacation.

Okay...I have days of unused tickets on my 2025 Salute ticket. I read one old online post saying that Salute tickets could be bridged to AP. AI is indicating that I should be able to bridge my unused 2025 ticket days to the 2026 Salute AP. Has anyone actually done this? I know other years I had to go down in person to be able to bridge tickets, is that still true? I'm trying to get a last minute spring thing together and just came to this idea. Thanks!

Unused days expire a the end of 2025. Also, if you applied the cost it would be back dated to the first day of use on the 2025 Salute ticket for an AP.

I wonder if there will be any WDW discounts for Veterans in 2026. It would be nice if there was even a discounted daily park ticket.

Thanks for this! I had forgotten that part of the bridging scenario. I did call ticketing this morning before I saw your response. I was advised to send an email. He seemed to indicate that because they are not considering the Salute ticket an AP that I might be able to do what I was wondering. He had me explain why we weren't able to use the days (leave was rescinded in January and then our flight was cancelled due to the government shut down so we drove which used up 2 days) and ask for what 2026 ticket I'd like. I'm not putting my eggs in the basket but am awaiting a response.

Since Disney has come out with the "Buy 4 (or more) Day ticket, get 2 Days Free", does anyone know if Shades of Green will be selling these (with the discount of the regular day tickets - i.e. through Disney, 4 day hopper tickets for my time period are $640 or so, plus the 2 free days. Will SOG have the 4 day tickets for the 20% or so discount, with the 2 free days )? We normally go with my in-laws and my FIL buys the salute tickets, but due to health reasons, they will probably not travel anymore :(. But he thinks he can buy us the discounted, non-promotional tickets and not have to be there. I didn't know if anyone had experience yet this year and if they knew if they had those tickets at a discount.

This is correct -- your FIL can buy the non-promotional tickets for anyone to use without him being present. The discount is ~20% and I don't believe any tax is charged. Shades of Green does not usually sell special WDW promotional tickets (such as the 3-Park or 4-Park Magic tickets the past couple of years) so I highly doubt they have the "buy 4 get 2 free offer." I suggest you check some other authorized third party resellers who do have those tickets and compare prices vs a 6-day from SoG.

Thank you for your insight!

My FIL is a retired Vet and wants to purchase non-promotional tickets for our family and two friends. If I am reading correctly he can buy the 4 day park hopper tickets for 7 of us and does not have to be present. They will be visiting us while in Disney just not big park people due to age. They are also not tech savy. He has his military ID is that all he needs to answer the questions that they will ask him? Also I read they email the tickets to you and then you can connect them to the My Disney Experience. Can they email them to me so I can do that? Thanks for any information :). I heard to get a rough price estimate to go to the Disney site and put in the days we are going and take that base ticket price and its roughly 20% off that price plus no tax. Is this correct? Also if they are hoppers that we can not hop until 2:00 that day? Thanks again :)
