Military Salute Ticket Question!

I’ve used military salute tickets three times before with no problems, and recently bought a 4th set for this summer. On all of our previous tickets, each person had their name on an individual ticket. This time the three tickets all say “Christie (My last name) Party”. Looking online, it seems like this might be a problem since they may require individual names on them.

Has anyone had experience with their military salute tickets only having the sponsor or spouse name on each ticket like mine currently do? Or should I go back to the base and have them print new ones with individual names on them? Thanks!

We've had the party wording before. They just had us write our name on the ticket as we came through the gates the first time. From what I have seen, buying on base seems to have the "party" wording, and buying at the gate has individual names... But maybe that's just our local base? Who knows :)

As an aside, remember to make sure your ID (or whoever the military member/spouse using their ID) has a non-expired ID. I missed the fact that mine expired on Hub's bday, and found out while I was trying to buy my ticket 3 weeks later. Disney was tougher than the TSA, ha! My hubs is our retired military sponsor, and his ID doesn't expire but as a spouse, mine does.

Oh good to know! I’ve bought all our tickets on base before, the first three were up in Alaska and they did the individual names on tickets. We’re down in WA now so I bought these on base here and they just put the “my name party” and I’d never seen that before! As long as both ways work! It’s the first time I’m using them without DH (I checked a ridiculous amount of times to make sure I did, indeed, have the proper ID - lol) so I want to make sure I don’t miss anything and end up with a hassle! Thank you so much for easing my mind.

Definitely a good call. Mine is good until 2022 or something like that. I almost wish it expired soon so I could get a new one already, I decided to go the serious face route the last time I had mine renewed and my pic looks like a mugshot :rotfl2:

We’ve had the same issue this time around as well. The only time it becomes annoying is when we’re getting MaxPasses, all the tickets have the same name. It’s difficult to remember who has which ticket number!

Totally get wanting a new picture! Mine was taken when I was 50 pounds heavier, so I was pleased when it was time to get a new picture... However the shadows still make it look foreboding!

Are you at JBLM or another? That's our "local" one, and every single time they do the "name party". It works, even when last names don't match, assuming you've got the right ID.

Yep! JBLM - DH is reserves so we don’t live on base, but I’m there weekly for the kiddos swimming lessons and occasionally hit up the commissary when I want a change up from Winco & Walmart :)

According to the sheet that shows you the accepted forms of ID, mine should be good to go. It’s the red one the reserve dependents have and indicates that I’m the spouse of the sponsor. I kept the graphic of accepted IDs on my phone to show at Disney just in case they question it though, but it sounds like I shouldn’t have any problems!

I don't live near a base so plan to purchase military salute tickets at the parks. Can I add Maxpass to the tickets when purchased so I don't need to buy MP each day?

Yep! Juat ask when you buy them, and they will add it for the normal cost ($15/day).

I have the reddish-pink one too, and there's never been an issue. I mean, other than the expired time.

I have another question about Military Salute tickets for those who have used them frequently and know the ins and outs on the subject. I bought Salute tickets several years ago but now think I might not be eligible for them. My husband (sponsor) passed away about 6 months ago. This month it was time to renew my id and I did so. I just noticed that the relationship on the card now says DB and not Spouse or SP. Does that make me ineligible for the discount tickets?
