military salute extended?

I was wondering if anyone knows if the armed forces salute might go longer than Dec. 19th? We are military but can't get there until closer to Christmas. What do you think? Was it last time? Thanks!

i emailed disney and asked them if they weregoing to and they said no.we are going with my brother in law and his new wife.they are both in the service and works for them to and they cannt seem to get the same time off but at christmas time.i dont think it is right for disney not to extend it for them as all the other service people that cannt make it there at that time.i wish iknow who else to email or call.because it is not fair that some get to use it and some dont.if anybody has any idea please let me know so i can get them the stuff desever.

Disney won't extend the Military Salute into Christmas because that's their busiest week of the year- they count on filling their resorts and parks with people who are paying full price (or close to full price). The Military Salute is Disney's way of thanking the Military and showing them their support- but you honestly don't think they can be held responsible for making sure that every single member of the Military is able to take advantage of the offer? They are offering it for over 7 months - more time than they have given for any previous offer, in order for more of the Military to take advantage of it. My Husband and I aren't able to take advantage of it either due to a combination of medical problems and his schedule (Believe me, I have tried to finagle a way down there). The Next best thing is Shades of Green - They Always have discounts for the Military (albeit, not as good as the Military Salute). Check out- www.shadesofgreen.org. Also, If you are checking into a WDW resort on Dec. 19th, then you can not only get value rates for your entire stay, but also take advantage of the Military Salute for your stay ---Jill
