Military discounts

Does anyone know if this includes former military reserve? My husband is a former Marine.

Disneyland offers special discounts of up to 40% on select Disneyland Resort hotels to active and retired U.S. military personnel.

Disneyland also offers $99 3-Day Park Hoppers (limit 6) for active and retired U.S. military personnel or their spouse.

The current offer has been extended through September 30, 2012.

My husband is retired reserve Air Force, and I was able to buy discounted tickets for WDW back in December 2011. I did have to show my retired military spouse ID...

No idea about hotel discounts, though.

Thanks IdahoBetty, we where not married when he went in as he was just out of high school but served 6yrs as a active reservist. We where to be married in 3months when his service was up of 6yrs. Hmmm???

The discounts are for active or RETIRED military. They do not have discounts for discharged no matter if they were honorable or any other type. Only retired who have done 20 or more years or retired due to disabilities.
Oh and something nre that they just started this year.
My sister was married to her husband for 32 years. She was with him the 25 years he put in the Air Force and they divorced after he retired. (he left her not that it would make any difference) She has always bought tickets for herself and friend using the Military discount. This year she was told that she can no longer get any military discounts because she is divorced military, not married to the retired military.
She does get all military benefits including medical care and medications from base medical and can go to any VA hospital if out of her area.

Thanks Mickey527, that is what my husband thought that he said he was not retired (20+ yrs) that he was only in for his 6yrs. He was thinking of re-signing up but we where just getting married! Just thought I would check to see if there was anything for non retired reserves.

We are at Disneyland as I type, and we bought our 3 day Park Hopper using my friends niece's ID. (she is with us . calm down) her father is retired coast guard...
