Military Discounts for stays AFTER 9/30/12

Any idea when we might see Military Discounts for stays after 9/30/12? (all discounts currently are good for stays through 9/30/12)?

Just SOG hotel is all we have after September unless Disney wants to extend. The Swan/Dolphin have military discounts.

I was told that there will be no more MIL discounts after this year

the only reason it was granted this past year (2011-2012) is because of an error that occurred and Disney didn't want the bad publicity. I am hoping that they will change their minds, but if they don't it was good while it lasted.

Oh man I hope they don't stop the military discount! If they do there is no way my husband will let me book another Disney hotel.

When they initiated it in the first place, they gave no notice at all. My honeymoon began the day it started, at which point our plans were already made and we couldn't participate.
When they extended it the first time, they did so with only a few weeks notice. Again, only weeks shy of a trip I had planned.

We'll know if they're going to do it again when they announce it. Somehow I doubt it is likely, considering how complicated the whole thing ended up being.

I was thinking with Disney's fiscal year ending on 9/30/2012, we might hear something after that, but you never know. Not sure what we will see out of Disney. We will still go, but it may be less frequent. We are getting on one last trip over Labor Day Weekend and using our last 2 tickets.

Someone mentioned that Sea World/Busch Garden had extended their contract until the end of 2013, but I couldn't find any info on that, I know they extended their 2012 program just a couple of days prior to the 2011 program ending.

I think they might see a drop in attendance, doubt it will make much difference, but alot of the military families in our area can barely put food on the table much less aford to go to Disney and without a discout, I know it won't happen.

I would like to think Disney will extend it, they did work in Military discounts to MNSSHP and MVMCP this year.
