I Was wondering if they offer a military discount like Disney does? Looking at booking an onsite package for next year but haven't the foggiest idea on where to start lol. I'd like to stay onsite if we can afford it, we have a fam of 6...2 adults, 3 juniors and one kid. I'd like the express pass if it isn't super expensive too. Thanks!!

They do offer a military rate for onsite hotels but you have to call and ask for it. You can't do it online. Since you have 6 in your family you can either stay at Cabana Bay which has Early Entry but no Unlimited Express or stay in on e of the 3 Deluxe resorts getting either two rooms or one of the larger villa suites. You'll have to price out to see which of those two options are cheaper if you really want the UE. For our trip next August it's about the same with an AP discount to get one of the larger villa suites vs two rooms.

As stated you can get reduced price tickets through your nearest MWR. Check early because some offices have to order tickets. Also each office may have different tickets available. Our office in Virginia sales mainly the 3 day ticket. There is an office in Orlando but I prefer having tickets in hand prior to arriving in Florida.

The MWR does not offer tickets with the Express Option.
1. You can upgrade them at on-site "'but" they charge you the difference between what you paid previously and the full express ticket price. (BYE-BYE savings)

2. You can purchase the Limited Express Option as an add-on for approximately $89/day per person.

3. Stay at the deluxe resorts and you receive Unlimited Express for duration of stay. This option would be cheaper than #2.

Actually, for my trip next week I purchased the USSSA 2 day park to park ($130) vice the MWR 3 day park to park ($169) because I only wanted two days.

Hmmmm, sounds like it might be better to buy a military discounted package directly from Universal then if we want to get the express pass. We do want to stay on site, seems a better option as to get the express pass. The guy I spoke to from universal said that they can add extra days to their military packages too
