Military Discount tix extended?

Hello,
Anyone know if Disney will extend the Military Discount this year? My family would like to go the week after Thanksgiving.

I've seen no indication that the program will stop. There is no reason to plan around this though unless the regular price for 3 day park hoppers will break your budget. Plan the other portions of your trip (hotel, travel, etc.) and then purchase the tickets when the 2015-2016 passes become available during the summer. If for some reason the Salute tickets are not available, just purchase the regular 3 day passes then. Bottom line, there is no advantage to purchasing the Salute tickets earlier than you have to.

And the Salute tickets are the same price at the DL gates as they are at your ITT/MWR so you don't even need to purchase them before you arrive. Unlike Florida, California does not tax theme park tickets so there is no advantage to purchasing them on base.

If, for some reason, the program is not extended, then purchase the 3 day tickets or 3 day hoppers at your ITT because they are significantly cheaper then at the gates.

Steve at MilitaryDisneyTips.com has said he's spoken with WDW regarding the timing of the release of the new AFS discounts, and how negatively WDW guests were affected last year (b/c of FP+ and reserving 60 days ahead) when the AFS tickets weren't beginning to be sold until September (announced in July). He said in his e-mail to subscribers that he's trying to get them to make the announcement and start selling tickets earlier this year because of that. Now I know DLR doesn't have FP+ yet,but they'll announce the WDW and DLR AFS program at the same time....hopefully both before July this year.

I would keep an eye on his website for that announcement as he lets everyone know as soon as he does.
