My brother-in-law is a Navy fighter pilot. He and my sister are flying down to meet us in Disney Friday night. How would he go about getting the military discount? Should he call Disney directly? He will not have a car at his disposal down there. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

I can hardly wait for Disney ... I just need to make it through Thursday! :cool1:

I have bought tickets from MWR here at Redstone Arsenal. MWR sells them cheaper than anywhere else I could find - including SOG.

For instance, a 4 day Park Hopper is $203.00 at MWR. It is $216.00 at SOG, and $233.00 at the gate. (According to the local MWR web site.)

Hope this helps.

I agree that purchasing military tickets is cheaper (by a couple bucks per ticket) at MWR however, MWR has to order from Disney -- they don't keep the ticket's on hand (at least here in Nebraska). I was told it could take up to two weeks to get the tickets back. Thank Goodness I ordered them already as we are leaving on May 20!!! I was originally told it would be 2 to 4 days. SO beware.....

SOG is open late (9 PM I think) and pretty eary (maybe 8?) so if you are staying at a disney resort, just take the bus to the TTC and catch a SOG bus to Shades -- it's also walkable if you're in the mood.

Yep, they have to order them. I have ordered them living at 3 different bases, and this was always the case. So if the mail takes awhile you may be in trouble.

Ouch! I guess Redstone MWR is busy enough that they usually keep lots of tix on hand. They did run out for a few days last Sept., but they got a new supply in within a couple of days.

I just got our tickets for our May 22 trip. At the MWR in Charleston SC, Navy base. The 10 day, premium, no expire cost me $334.80ish, if was under $335.each. This seemed pretty good to me, so I got lots of tickets for the 15 of us going down! :flower: We are all going to be there May 22 to June 4, and they said that the tickets should be there by this Fri! I was orginally told it would be 10 days to 2 weeks, so I wanted to order them in plenty of time.
