Military Discount ending 9/30/12

I am planning a trip for October, and my family is eligible for the military discount. The problem is that the promotion ends 9/30/12. When will Disney release the new military discounts so I can see if that would work? Also, should I just go ahead and book buying regularly priced resorts and rooms or should I wait and see? I don't think I will buy the 4 day tickets since the 6 day ticket is what we want, but the discount on resorts is a perk.

If Disney will extend the current special again (like this year). The 4 day passes might be enough, because if you get the "Water parks and more", it comes with 4 passes to the water parks and Disney quest.

Ohhhh....so the 4 water park and Disney quest passes can be used on days other than the 4 Disney park passes? That makes things interesting...

We are in the same situation. SO and I really want to go for the FWF and MNSSHP, but the tickets expire. SO went by the travel office at his base just today and was told that last year they didn't announce the extension of the promotion until the beginning of September which is a bit last minute. IIRC, the year before they didn't announce the extension until a week or two after the offer expired, so there's that.

There's a lot of good information on the theme park strategies board. The "tickets" sticky at the top of the page has good info in the military post. There's also a military promotion thread in the "current offers" (or something like that) subthread, but it's been a wee bit drama filled recently which is kind of annoying.

When Disney feels ready to implement their next promotion they will do so. If other recent promotions have been any indication, for about the first month nobody will really understand it and the Marketing people will not have thought out all the ramifications.
