Military Discount Elligibility

It was my understanding that only active duty, reservists, retires, and their spouses were eligible for the military discount on rooms. However I read on here recently that someone whose husband was a contractor was able to book it as disney indicated all that was needed was a common access card. Does anyone know if they have expanded the eligible audience or is this just bad information? I'm a defense civilian and would love to use the discount if eligible.

I looked into this awhile back to see if I would qualify as a veteran. Nope, but I do believe I read that dod employees are eligible. Should say on the wdw website for sure. Good luck!

No, contractors with CAC cards are not eligible for the Military Salute offer. They can book a room at Shades of Green though, not the same thing. Only Active Duty, Retired, Fully Disabled and Reservists can book with the Military Salute offer.

My DH is a contractor with a CAC card and we cannot get the offer.
