Miley Cyrus at Inauguration??

I heard somewhere on t.v. today that Miley Cyrus will be performing at President-Elect Obama's inauguration. The first thing that came to my mind was...huh?!?! I really can't see why that would pick her to perform, seems a little ridiculous to me. Anyone else hear about this?

Yeah. I can't picture Obama asking her just for the heck of it. That would be a bit odd for a grown man.... but I'd bet Sasha and Malia like her.

Yet another reason I won't be watching the inauguration.... I will be too busy packing for WDW!

I have to admit, I don't find Mylie's songs annoying at all. I'm embarrassed to say I...really like a few of them.

She most probably won't be performing at the Inauguration itself, but rather at one of the Inaugural Balls. The rumors say it will be at a "children's party" (1 of ten official Inaugural Balls) & will be held at DC's Verizon Center.

I remember thinking the same thing about Hillary Duff when she performed at one of the inaugural parties for Bush (I can't remember if it was the first or second). I just had a moment of "Who in the world picked her?"

I believe like another poster said she'll be performing at the Childrens' Party that is being held on January 19th at the Verizon Center....so she won't actually be performing at the Inauguration.

Yeah, me too. My guess is also that it's for his girls, I think it's cute.
