My 40th is coming up in a few years (2014) and I've started to consider options for a birthday trip.

DH will be playing golf at Pebble Beach for his 40th, but I'm having a hard time narrowing it down.

If you did a milestone birthday trip, which birthday was it and where did you go/what did you do?

Oh, Disney is not an option, as we'll be going there in 2013. :)

My 40th is in one month and 9 days...and I think I am going on my own for a spur of the moment weekend. Maybe to Las Vegas or maybe New York of Atlantic City (would be to see Straight No Chaser). My last milestone (30th) was spent in the middle of Wyoming in a broken down U-Haul in the a horrible thunder and lightening storm...not one I want to repeat.

Yeah, that doesn't sound fun.

My 30th was spent in Savannah with DH and we had a wonderful time. :)

My sisters and I have a 40th birthday tradition. Birthday girl picks the destination.
Sis #1: Destin/Navara
Sis #2: Nashville
Mine will be December, 2012: Disney World and Universal
Youngest sister hasn't chosen a destination yet.

For my 50th birthday in '07 we went camping for the weekend, and took a hot air balloon ride. I had always dreamed of doing that, it was a lot of fun.

For DH's 50th birthday, also in '07, I surprised him with a 3-night trip to Las Vegas. I had asked him where he wanted to have his birthday dinner, and he thought for a moment and said Margaritaville. We'd eaten at one in Ocho Rios, Jamaica so I got on-line to find out where others were. Saw that Vegas had one, so decided to book the trip. So, he had his birthday dinner at Margaritaville just like he wanted.

We'll never forget our 50th birthdays!! :)

DH chose Disney for his 40th and I chose a cruise for my 40th.

I had never cruised before...we really enjoyed it. It was DH and I, our two kids, our best friends and their daughter. We had a BLAST.

For my fortieth, my husband booked us on a helicopter flight for a weekend away at Catalina Island. It was a surprise, and I was only told to pack one bag less than 25 pounds. What a huge blast!

For his fortieth, we just had a huge birthday dinner party at his favorite restaurant.

For his 50th, we are going on a 10-day trip to Belize with his best friend and his family.

My fiftieth is in 8 years, so I have no idea yet what to do, if anything.

Those all sound awesome! :)

I'm flying to Israel to celebrate my 60th. (I've wanted to go since I was 8).

Spent my 38 in Disney solo. Only trouble was that people here assumed it was my 40th.

My actual 40th I spent in the ER--not a good plan. Ended up on a gurney calling people to cancel the surprise party DH had going for me that night.

Wow, I bet Israel will be an experience! :)

Oh no on the 40th birthday! Hope everything turned out ok!

We never did trips for milestone birthdays until my 50th. I was determined that I was leaving town so no one could have a party with black balloons! So we went to WDW. Bay Lake Tower was new and it was my husband and I's first trip by ourselves. We had a wonderful time.

The next year my husband decided that he wanted to go to Disney for his 65th birthday. So we did. That trip we stayed at Old Key West and went to the Hoop de doo for his birthday dinner. Had a great time.

My 40th birthday I spent at Shea Stadium with my family. My mom had passed away that Feb., but she & my sister had decided that what they would do, so my sister continued the planning. The Mets lost, but we had so much fun.

My 50th birthday was actually May 20th of this year. But I will be going to WDW in September. I got a 35% off PIN & early Sept. was cheaper than the rest of the year. I got a bunch of Disney gift cards for my birthday & will be using them to pay for meals & stuff. I can't wait!

We went to Italy for my 50th. We went to Paris for my husband's 55th. We are going to the Amazon for my 55th.
