This question has come up before, and I'm thinking that the correct answer to the largest egg question is shark - it seems to me there are one or two species of shark whose eggs are larger than the ostrich. I guess we'll just have to wait and see tomorrow.

I thought I had heard that before as well, so I looked it up at several websites, and they all said that is was the ostrich. Sorry if it ends up being wrong.
