I'm clicking my way to a $50 gift certificate through Milesource for the Marriott Hotels. Does anyone know how this coupon works? I'm assuming I'll get a coupon for $50 off the Marriott of my choice. I was hoping to use it at Courtyard DTD this Christmas. Does it work that way? Or is it a coupon only good for certain Marriotts, or only good if you book through a certain travel agency? Has anyone had any experience with this? I'd like to know if its worth it before I spend 10-15 minutes every night clicking away. Thanks!

BE CAREFUL!

I cashed in for a Hyatt certificate through milesource about 8 weeks ago. Still have not received it via email.

Only after cashing in can you read the terms and conditions. The terms are: you will get an email from their "travel partner" Vacation Miles with a code, you must book through them with the code to receive the discount. Like I said, I havent received it yet so I will see if it is good.

I, too, was expecting a discount certificate that I could use at any Hyatt. We are planning on cruising in March, and I was going to use it for a stay at the MCO Hyatt, which I already have booked at AAA discount $129. Was hoping to use the certificate to drive that price down - we'll see.

I wouldn't count on getting a response from milesource before December. They are as slow as they come.....

I cashed in for the Marriott certificate and received a paper certificate that was good at any hotel in the Marriott chain. I too wanted to use them at the DTD Courtyard. When I ordered mine, they were backordered FOREVER, so make sure you give yourself time just in case.

Well, thanks for the replies. If the coupon works, fine, if not, well I'm still getting a great rate at Courtyard DTD--$296 for 7 nights. That's a combination of the 20.03 rate, hotel special promotion, and AAA rate. It works out to $42 per night. You can't beat that! Our last trip to WDW we stayed at the Polynesian and paid $330 per night! We'll pay less for the whole week here. Of course, there's no comparison between the hotels, the Polynesian definitely has more class, better pool, etc., but we're going to WDW, not a hotel. Actually, it really wasn't worth the price. The room was nice, but just a hotel room. The pool was great, expecially for my kids, but we're going this time in Dec. so I doubt we'll have much use for a pool. The main reason we stayed at the Poly was to be on the monorail, and you can't beat that for convenience, however, the monorail doesn't go everywhere. We still ended up taking buses many places. With the money we save at the Courtyard we can rent a car and still come out ahead.

Mainly, I wanted to know if the milesource points are worth the hassle to accumulate. It always seems to take so much time, and its frustrating because it seems the points aren't always recorded accurately. If I get my $50, fine, if not, I won't waste any more time
