I have noticed on some recent posts people mentioning that they are getting good deals with Virgin on the miles and money. Is this the miles you get on the Virgin CC? just thinking about getting good price flights for the trip after next in a couple of years

Yes it is the same miles, I have had a flying club account for a few years now with over 100,000 miles but last month was 1st time I used their CC. With the joining bonus and booking flights in the first month I had over 7,000 miles added to my account
I presume you have joined flying club with all members of your family over 12.
You need to make sure the CC knows your Flying club account #. Miles get added to your account about 3 weeks after paying you cc bill.
If you have not all joined do it thru recommend a friend then you both get a bonus added after your 1st flight.

There are various ways of earning miles. Most of ours come from taking flights with Virgin Atlantic. If you order a case of wine at Virgin Wines, you currently earn 3000 miles for your first order and 750 for subsequent orders. The selection isn't great, but it's worth placing one order for 3000 miles.

Thanks for that great tip deb, I enjoy a bottle of nice merlot. Will have to really look into this to start building up my miles.

Hi

I just joined the flying clud recently and claimed my miles for the trip back in April. I also recommended my DH and 2 DD (aged 12+0. I only got and extra reward for recommending my DH. I got and extra 2000 miles, he got an extra 1000 miles. However this wasn't the case for DDs, wonder why?

I like the tip about virgin wine, think I will buy my DH a case.
