MIL vent

Today is DH´s birthday. DS´s birthday is on Sunday and DD´s birthday on 12/03 (we´ll be in Florida by then). DMIL sends a package adressed to DH and inside were 2 cards, one for each child. Nothing for him. Now this is a woman that loves making and writing cards. Why would you send a package, adressed to your son, which arrives on his birthday, but not include a card for him, let a lone a gift?
She did call him today though.

Not sure why I´m surprised though. This is the same woman that showed up with "just because" gifts for 3 of my 4 (at that time) children.

Maybe she forgot...have a little tolerance for people as they get older. We have a lot of senior moments.

I have to laugh. If that is your biggest gripe about your mother-in-law you are a very lucky woman. She just sounds a little forgetful.

I'm thinking that if she addressed the package to your husband and she enjoys making cards, maybe she forgot to put his card in the package.

Oh, I love a good MIL vent.

It does sound odd, to address it to your dh but not include anything in it for him. Maybe she just left it out.

The story about bringing gifts for some but not all of the grandkids is awful though.
