Ok, if you want to catch up, here is a link to part one of my second day at WDW! Long story short, I had a wet & wild day at MK and when last I posted I had decided to head back to the POP century...

Miracle of miracles, when I arrived at the MK bus stops they were completely empty and I was just arriving at the POP stop when the bus arrived. I had my own private bus! hehe! What fun! The miracles continued as I arrived at POP, the sun was out!!! I capitalized on the sun by rushing through the POP food court to grab lunch to go, Tuna Croissant (a trip fave!), cheetos, soda and a mickey marshmellow treat for later. I had my lunch quick and made my way to the Hippy Trippy pool. It was wonderful! By that point the resort was relatively empty because everyone who stayed in to avoid the rain had decided to go to the parks now. I swam for a while enjoying the cool flower jets as the sun had brought back the heat.

When I noticed myself "pruning" I decided it was time to go back to my room for a shower and maybe a nap! General Hospital was on as I decided a nap would be nice so I set up a wake up call for an hour later and fell asleep at Sonny & Carly continued their usual fight fests! :goodvibes What felt like moments late, but relaxing moments, my phone rang and it was Mickey letting me know it was time to get up. I had a PS back at the MK so I got dressed and headed to the bus stop. Still hot and sunny but with clouds on the horizon. Back at the MK things were a hustling and bustling! I was early for my PS so I decided to head to the Castle and catch Cinderellabration. As I may have said already, this show is not strong on story but still a lot of fun. I found a spot in the shade to watch and enjoyed an ice cold lemonade. After the show I did some shopping on Main Street, window shopping mostly as I was not sure yet what souvenirs I wanted so I had started a mental wish list. I arrived at Tony's Town Square 15min before my PS and I was seated very quickly. I was happy to be seated in the front area right by the windows so I could people watch as I enjoyed my meal.

I had never been to Tony's before and had read mixed reviews. Sadly, this is another one! It started out great though, the red pepper pesto dip and bread were outstanding! For my appy, I got the Crispy Calamari. This was tender and crispy calamari with a not over powering olive relish and herbed aioli (aka mayo like sauce.) I found that I used the red pepper dip as a condiment for the calamari too. I ordered the NY Strip for my entree as I was dying to try the truffled fontina mac 'n cheese, or as my server put it, the adult mac 'n cheese. The steak was poorly seasoned and just way too tough. I ate about half. The mac n cheese was bone dry but tasty. Dessert was another bright spot, Chocolate banana creme brulee! Soo yummy and complimented of course by an ice cold coke. (ed note: Weird to be writing about all of this coke when I am now soda free! hehe) Dinner was however relaxing. The restaurant was packed with a huge wait but I never was rushed.

When I left Tony's it was starting to cloud up. The weather I caught before I left predicted evening showers again with a 100% certainty. So I decided that instead of staying around for Wishes in the rain, I would head to Downtown Disney and find some fun there. I took the path from MK to the Contemporary in order to get a bus. Such a nice scenic path with topiaries. The bus stop at the Contemporary was indeed crowded but we were soon on our way to DTD. I got off on the Pleasure Island side and decided to check out a movie as there were drops in the air. I had a planned outing to see Star Wars later in the week so tonight I saw "The Longest Yard." Let me say I am traditionally not an Adam Sandler fan but this movie had some truly hilarious moments. I started out indifferent about what i was seeing but by the end I was happy with my choice. When the movie got out the ground was drenched but it was not raining at the moment. So I decided to head over to the Marketplace side of things.

Can we discuss how completely amazing all the new Lego Store sculptures are??? The family! The dragon in the water is soo cool! I love the Marketplace at night because it is so full of energy and things to see. I decided it was a nice night to use my Ghiradelli coupon and I had the S'more sundae. Wow! Sooooooooo! Delicious. I can still taste the hot fudge and marshmellow if I think hard enough. :earseek: After that the rain seemed to be returning so I headed back to POP. In my room I set up my DVD player and popped in a movie to watch as I drifted off to sleep. Happy to have had such a fun filled day!!!

Tomorrow... Epcot... Can we say SOARIN???!!!
(Note: Don't worry I will posting most of the rest of my trip report this weekend, so no more long delays!!! pirate: )

this sounds great and I am anxious for your report ......thanks

Hey Mike, sounds like a fun trip. My family visited the lego store at DD in Cal while I explored the rest of DD, they loved it. Too bad about the entree at Tony's, the rest sounded good!
