Trying to come up with my strategy for HS in August. Mike & Sulley is an important meet and greet for me. I understand their line gets long. When is the best time to fit them in?
Our plan so far:
TSL EMM
EMM breakfast at 9:30
10:05 FP RnRC
11:05 FP ToT
12:10 FP SDD

I believe they are close to TSL, but won't be meeting yet at 9 and then I bet the line is long before/after we go back for our FP at 12:10. We're also trying to fit in meets with Olaf, Vampirina and the Incredibles dance party; as well as some of the shows like DisJr, etc. I'm using Touring Plans but was interested on any experience with Mike & Sulley specifically! We do plan to leave mid-day and come back for Fantasmic, but I believe their meet ends early.

Also, we'll do rider swap for RnRC and ToT. Are there any meet and greets close to those two that would work to fill the time for rider swap, depending on how long it takes?

Walt Disney presents opens from 10am to 6pm I would go before noon
Over by RnRC you have lighting McQueen racing academy, 10 minute show inside with a/c you have Cruz Ramirez meet and greet outside

I would go immediately after breakfast. You'll be getting there right around when the greet opens at 10 and, even if there's a line built up, you should be able to get to RnR before 11:05.

The other option depends on how long you want your midday break to be. Their line gets shorter after 5pm. If you can be in the park by then, you can do them first, then the dance party (very close by), before Vampirina and Olaf.

You could also do Vampirina as part of the ToT RS on the way to the SDD FP. You have to pass that area anyway. Or, send everyone not doing the 2nd ToT ride to the dance party because, again, you have to pass by on the way to TSL.

Thank you! I guess I need to monitor wait times, but getting there after breakfast before our RnRC FP might be a great idea! This is our first time at HS (well, since I was a kid and it was MGM), so I can't visualize distances, etc. between attractions.

Do all the meets end at 6 (Olaf and Vampirina, etc)?

Olaf is until park close. Vampirina wasn't on my radar but it looks like the whole dis jr group only meets until 6:30 per the website.

They opened the building a little before 10 this June when we were there (not sure what time but we got there at 10 and people were already there). Line was pretty short when we went in and very long when we got through it. I suggest going a bit before 10.

We were just there on Saturday and had to pass because their line was 60 minutes long. That was in the early afternoon around 1 pm

We went last Friday at 9:50am, they let us line up and opened slightly before 10. We were out in 10 min, and the line was backed way up when we left.

That's what I'm afraid of. My sister was there a few weeks ago and it wasn't high on her radar, but she said they skipped it either because they went by during a break or the line was too long.

Hmm. I'm not sure the best way to time it. We were planning to rope drop something between EMM and breakfast, then be ready for our 10 am FP. It seems the better strategy may be to go right from EMM to breakfast then head to get in line for this meet, then our FP. We were planning on rope dropping Star Tours, but will its line remain more manageable than Mike & Sulley throughout the day - or possible to get as a 4th FP?

You should get in line for RnC toward the end of your FP window do you can walk right over to ToT for that one. When you are next up for mike and sully look at wait time for star tour. If it isn’t bad go do it before RnC. You most likely will be done with the meet shortly after 10 and can maybe fit it in. It is a bit of a hike though. Honestly I would try to change SDD to star tours if you can since you will be riding it during EMM anyway.

Thank you! That makes sense - I forget that the two are close to each other.

I have thought about changing SDD, but the fact that I have it, I'm afraid to drop it in case it's down during EMM or my kids (or us) just love it so much and want to ride it again. I should've made it for later, but was thinking more about getting additional FPs at the time. I am thinking I will likely swap it out the day-of if there's not a need for it and to save ourselves from going back to TSL. Is Star Tours easy to get as a 4th or have decently "short" wait times throughout the day?

Well most of star tours line is inside and air conditioned so if you do have to wait in line it really isn’t bad at all.

Both: it's a pretty easy 4th and tends to have manageable lines, especially later. You can walk on when you return in the evening for Fantasmic.

That said, it's right by the breakfast area, though, right? (I forget where the EMM breakfast is at this point). I think you could do star tours, have breakfast, hop over to the monster's Inc line, and still make your FP before 11:05.

I believe that Star Tours is close to breakfast which is why we were planning to rope drop it before breakfast. Depending on what time we leave TSL, maybe we'll still try to do that, eat and get to the meet close to 10. I think it depends on whether or not we have to rider swap. My 3 yo is tall enough but I'm not sure if it's a ride she'd like?

Thank you for all of your help!!

Does anyone know if this meet & greet is still happening? I was reading they could be found in the Walt Disney Presents area through the end of Sept and I haven’t seen any info since then? I have a 2 year old little boy and Monsters Univ is the only Disney movie he’ll actually “watch” for more than 10 mins. He’s obsessed with Mike & Sulley so I’m hoping they’ll be around somewhere!!

Just saw the line on Wed before the new extended sneak peek for Frozen2 in One Mans Dream Theatre. I think the line is not as “long” as many other characters.
Are they separate or photo taken with both characters together?
Trying to figure out why it would take so long but I am not a charactermeet person and just want postcards available with the character in costume and autograph. Love the autographs! Disney sell character postcards.
And don’t forget to ask for Santa’s signature autograph!

When the line reaches the entrance for Mike & sully, it's about an hour wait (at least that's what it was for me & my dad). Unfortunately it's been a few months and I can't for the life of me remember if we met them separate or not. Also unfortunately, Mike & Sully can't sign autographs though they might have character cards with their "signatures" available (I didn't think to ask at the time).
