Mike' Make Over Madness!

Way to go on the pound lost!!!! I hate being sick and trying to stay on task with losing weight too - my motivation just drops to the floor. Keep it up!!!!

Keep on
Chris

Great job on another lb. kicked to the curb. :cool1: Anything is better than gaining. It is so hard to lose when you are sick and if you lose alot when you are sick then you better go see the dr.

One of the games that can be played during the move in days weekend where DD18 is going to college is the Amazing Race. I think she will have tons of fun with that.

I saw you started up a new thread on the board and I think that is AWESOME. If you don't mind, I might check in every once in awhile to see how some of my favorite WISHER's are coming along. Everyone needs support in all the phases of their weight loss journey.

Have a great day and keep up the great work. ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

Hi!

I hope you're feeling better and are having a great day!!!

:flower:

Just got caught up on your journal from the weekend. Hope you are feeling better today.

I, too am a huge BB fan. We have watched all season, all episodes except a few. We always go on vacation (DL) at the end of August first of September and we always seem to miss a few days. I just can't seem to give up my time in the park to go watch BB!! LOL! Saturdays show was pretty good. I was surprised that Eric nominated whow he did..

Way to go on the pound loss. I know what you mean about being disappointed, but glad that you got over that!!!! It is a pound gone, none the less!!!!!

Well I hope you are having a great, healthy day.

Keep up the good work!

Hi, Mike! I know I am late in welcoming you to WISH but an infant will do that to you! I love your upbeat attitude and your sense of humor! Oh, and I also LOVE mushrooms. Dh thinks I am nuts since he can't stand them. I agree that losing a pound is a good thing even if it seems like a pound isn't much sometimes. After all add all of the "one pound lost here, one pound lost there" together and it adds up! You are doing great! :)

Hi Tasha,

I am sure that having infant has definitely had a big impact on your life and not just on your message board activity! :flower: Congratulations!! Glad you did stop by though, always nice to have another mushroom lover in the midst!
and you are right, those "only one pounds" add up to be many pounds! :sunny:
Thank you for your kind words and support!
I hope you are having a happy & healthy monday!

Hey, Mike! I know I haven't been here in a while, but I wanted you to know I have been thinking about you (and all your fabulous recipes! :))

Congratulations on losing another pound! :cool1: I am so jealous that you are getting so close to that really cool clippie! That is soooo awesome! Do NOT be disappointed if it is a bit less than you were looking for this week -- it is still progress in the right direction! This week you'll add more exercise, drink more water, and look forward to the next time you step on the scale.

Keep up the great work, Bud!

:grouphug:

Hi Cam!

Missed you too!! Glad to see you in here again. :flower:
I am so close to that clippie I can smell it!!! (or is that my deodorant wearing off??) hehehe!
Hope that you are doing well yourself!!!

Thanks and have a great day!

Hi Jamie!!

Glad to find another BB fan!! My opinion Eric is very quickly dropping and somehow Janelle has become my favorite! She is playing them so well! hehe Of course she will probably be voted out & I will need a new fave, probably Howie! I am looking forward to a fun season!

Thanks for you support and I hope you are having a great day!

What a busy day!!!!
Last candidate on campus today so that went well. I brought my lunch so I am back on a more timely meal schedule. I made some tuna with lots of celery and served it on lettuce leaves as wraps. Very Yum!!

Lots of journals to catch up on so I may need to stay a little late today!
Have a great one all!

Hi Mike!!!

I wanted to thank you for suggesting that fantastic garlic sauteed green bean recipe - I made it tonight and it went over well with everyone except my breath :rotfl: ...but hey! That's what toothpaste is for, right? Thanks again - I get so bored with just buttered veggies or salads and I get so excited when I try new things and they're good.

I may use your technique on other vegetables...mmmm....brussels sprouts?

I hope you feel a lot better soon...summer colds are the worst!! Somehow, in winter, at least you can curl up under the covers and ignore the snow and ice outside. In the summer...well...I'd rather BE outside!

Take care of yourself!!!

Jenn.

Hope your evening went well yesterday.

Thanks for mentioning the lettuce leaves on your tuna wrap. I was going to have a tuna wrap today and really enjoy them, but DH doesn't get the WW tortillas. They just don't sell as well and I don't think I could eat them fast enough to order a whole case.........so, I think I will go get some Romaine and use those leaves to wrap my tuna today. What a great idea!

Have a great day. ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

Hey Jenn!
Glad you liked the green beans! I am making them again tonight myself with a cheeseburger topped with muenster cheese (my fave!) hehe. Mmmmm... hehe
As for brussel sprouts, I have only made them once and they were pretty good roasted. I think the recipe order was to fry up two pieces of bacon with a TBSP of onion (a carb loaded veggie, and my fave of course! LOL) and drain a little of the fat off. Season the sprouts with S&P and pour the bacon & onion goodness over them, toss to coat and roast at like 425 til tender. I could find the exact recipe if you like!

Back to the grind now for me! Have a great day!

Hi Lesli!
Glad to share a great idea! The first time I did it I was amazed at how wonderful it was, the crunch of the lettuce gives a great mouthfeel and the freshness of it all wakes up all the flavors. Hope you enjoy as much as I did!
