I really hope he keeps comments like this, and the one regarding the Constitution, up so that there is not a snowball's chance in hell that he gets the nomination. I am a Christian conservative and he scares the crap out of me.

The problem with Huckabee is that he comes across as an "Aw shucks, I'm just a nice guy. The way he talks makes you want to like him, it's almost like he's talking with you instead of at you.

Unfortunately, look what we ended up with 7 years ago when people voted for the guy they "most wanted to have a beer with".

Huckabee has made several frightening comments himself, but it was actually a new adviser that made this statement, as the OP said, not Huckabee himself.

Sorry - my bad. I was referring to the Constitution thing that Huckabee said (which was also talked about in this thread), not the mosque comment from his campaign manager. Just wanted to clairfy.

Still think he's unsuitbale to be President of this country.

Didn't he make a comment about wives being submissive to their husbands? He scares me, but will never make it. He is just the "in thing" right now.

No one is thrilling me right now on the republican side. Although since I am independent I get to choose which ballot I want for primary.

The scary thing to me is not that he's out there doing and saying this stuff. The scary thing is that he has a not so insignificant following! He won in Iowa and placed 3rd in NH.
