If he believes that will prevent a terrorist attack, Huckabee is even more out of step with reality than previously thought.

Iowans tend to be politically progressive or independent, moderate types (who right now are sick of Bush, so they caucused for a Democrat or Ron Paul). What the Iowa GOP has left is the Christian Right, and they weren't willing to back Romney because he's a Mormon. Huckabee's folksy way also appealed to them.

This is what concerns me the most. I don't believe for a moment that he will win the GOP nomination. I find his comments quite disturbing, and to me it shows his lack of knowledge on key issues.

During the 1992 campaign season, I was in Little Rock on business about 4 days a month. A cab driver said to us on one trip that he really wanted Clinton to win the presidency. We asked him why. He said, they couldn't wait to get rid of him and that maybe if he went to Washington they could "get a Republican in here (for governor) for a change".

He is a very scary person. I know here in NH there were many more democrat votes than republican votes, maybe this is how he did so well. Like someone else said,I don't think that he will continue to do well outside of the bible belt. I think that if he continues with his crazy statements that his numbers will continue to fall. The scary thing is that there are other people that think the same way.
