Mike Baldwin - Coronation Street

It's very sad but also very well played.

My friends DF is suffering with it. It really is a dreadfull thing to see someone you love go like that and not really recognise who you are.

I can honestly say it brings tears to my eyes every time I watch it, very very sad and very well acted :sad2:

Johnny Briggs is excellent, but heartbreaking to watch :guilty:

yes it is been very well done
My FIL died from it a few years ago and now his brother and sister have got it also

IT IS SO SAD

How sad is the Alzheimer's story :(

Anyone else watching it?

I agree with everyone else; sad but well done. I feel like I've known him for most of my life.

Very sad. :sad2:

When my DF died, we knew he had the beginnings of it. However much I miss him, I am so glad that we did not have to go through this.

So sad, my great Aunt suffered too and it was awful to see...

I was in tears when Mike broke down on Wed- I think Danny is really feeling guilty now, not sure about the evil Leanne though.....I hope Audrey finds out whats happening, I think she should go and look after him.

I love Mike Baldwin he's one of my favourite characters... :sad1:

Does anyone else think the one who plays Leanne is pregnant?

she is, her contract expires soon, along with Mike, Blanche and a couple of others.
I hate watching this storyline, my Dad looks exactly like Mike Baldwin! A fact we've always found rather hilarious, now it just seems all a little too real :guilty:

just remembered, Shelley, Nathan (yum!) and Molly are all set to leave soon as well.

I had been thinking that she looked pregnant too. :wave2:

My best friend's Dad had it, and it was heartbreaking to see the decline. It can have it's funny moments - like for example when she found a shoe in the fridge - but it's known as The Long Goodbye and that really is a good way to describe it. Some days he was more or less ok, but other days he didn't know anyone or anything. It's horrible for everybody.

Not meaning to be depressing but DH's brain tumour has many of the same symptoms :sad2:

He's only 38 but his cognitive memory is hopeless
Still in the pretty good position where he is able to 'act' ,in public, but rubbish at home ;)

Guess it's just a, very good reminder, that you shouldn't take anything for granted :cloud9:

Leanne, on the other hand, I was definitely thinking looked preggie :woohoo:

I sat next to Alisons husband at the Sheffield dis meet. He has a way with words and has opened my eyes to alot of things. I could of stayed and talked to him all day.
Alison tell Phil his website is fantastic, i will put my own comments on there.
His paintings are out of this world, if you havent been on his website guys you should go and have a look!!
