Cast: Me (Mike) and wife (Stephanie)
Today is Sunday July 20th. We eat at the Pepper Market in Coronado Springs and then head out to Magic Kingdom. While the mountain people go left and right to Space and Splash mountain, we take the ball and go up the middle. This strategy always works. We knew we had an e-ticket night on Tuesday, so we didnt have to sprint to the hills.
We walked right on to Peter Pan and then Its a Small World. Haunted Mansion had about 12 people in the stretch room so we enjoyed that too. We then went and got a fastpass for Splash Mountain, just for the fun of it. Its Stephanies favorite ride. So off to Pirates and Tiki Birds with absolutely no wait. Now its time for the fastpass to Slash Mountain and we get on that in about 4 minutes. We still have people give you that look when we go in a fastpass line and walk by them. HEY!! It free for everyone! Do your homework!!
We get off of Splash and ride the train to the main gate. We then ride the monorail to Epcot and ride Spaceship Earth after a 7 minute wait. Time for lunch, so we head to The Land and eat at a place called Soup, Salad, and Sandwich. This cost a total of $20 with each a sandwich and 1 cup of soup and drinks. After lunch, we rode the new and improved Imagination ride with Figment. This is at least 1000 times better than the one without Figment. Its actually very good and we both enjoyed it. Next was Honey I Shrunk the Audience and then some serious shopping. We love shopping in Epcot.
After an afternoon of shopping, we ate at the Lotus Blossom Café. They only have two main courses, and you do eat outside under a covered area, but the food was good. Total for the meal was $18.50. Not bad for a Disney World meal for two. After supper, we shopped the rest of the countries and bought gifts for friends. The weather was nice and slightly overcast. Were from Louisiana so we can take a little heat anyway. The flowers were still in bloom and there were at least a couple of thousand roses.
We received great service today and had contact with several cast members. The only cast member that got up on wrong side of the cactus was the host at Honey I Shrunk the Audience. He announce to the guests that the que could hold 570 people but that wed all have to scoot up and move to the front. This is understandable, but this guy refused to smile and looked totally bored. I guess one sourpuss out of the 20 or 30 cast members we saw today is still a great average.
So we end our day with good food, good service and two beautiful parks. We left Epcot at 7pm and crashed at the Coronado early. We were still ready to enjoy parks, but our feet were on strike. They wanted the rest of day off so we gave it to them. We sure love this place.
Next trip report will be another trip to Magic Kingdom, then Downtown Disney and believe it or not, back to Magic Kingdom. Thanks for reading.
